Nancy Sinatra recorded the original version of this song to be the theme song to the 1967 James Bond film of the same name. It is widely considered to be among the best James Bond theme songs, and has become one of Nancy Sinatra's most well known hits. 

Radiation City puts a slightly modern spin on her version of this song incorporating a low end that flirts with the brown note and some other-worldly electronics. However, Lizzy Ellison's timeless voice is perfectly suited for a sad, sultry song such as this. And their signature production soaks this tune in a way that makes it instantly, totally theirs.

Radiation City - You Only Live Twice

Anton Newcombe & Rob Campanella played some songs on the french radio France Inter, on April 9th, to promote the new album of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Revelation.
They were invited in the radio show "Ouvert la nuit" and performed their cover of Bobby Jameson's song, There's A War Going On, on acoustic guitars.

"La nuit américaine" is the first single taken from Helluvah's upcoming new album Fire Architecture which will be released on October 25, 2024 by labels Dead Bees, Jarane and Araki Records on CD and all digital platforms.

The song, whose reference to the film is an obvious one (not so much for what it's about, but because it was shot in Nice, the city in which the artist grew up and whose light she particularly appreciates), refers precisely to the cinematographic technique of “faking” light, but also life and its representation. “The song is about that,” Helluvah comments, ”about the illusions you have or create in a love relationship, just as the film is about the making of cinema, illusions, life. It's a track for which we also worked a lot on the sound ambiences, precisely to create a whole universe.”

After no-wave legends Liquid Liquid broke up in 1984, singer Salvatore Principato took some much need to time to revaluate his musical direction. Renting a studio on the Lower East Side with Ken Man Caldiera. It was there that they started their next musical project, Fist of Facts.

In 1985 Ken Man showed up in the studio with this IBM AT computer. It had a 1/2 MB of RAM and some Voyetra software that could sequence music, becoming the duo’s backing band. Fist Of Facts contributors included Mark Cunningham from Mars, Felice Rosser, Genevieve De Monvel Boutet, Carlos Vivanco, Scott Hartley from the Liquids and a whole host of others.

Fist of Facts expand the natural groove that Liquid Liquid established over their quick career, with a strong political message combined with abstract dub soundscapes.

Fugitive Vesco will be released on 12" + 7” / Digital on January 11th, 2019.
