Born in 1988, Pressure Point is an Italian DJ and producer who embarked on his musical journey at the age of 14, delving into the world of spinning records. Influenced by minimal and house music during his formative years, Pressure Point, also known as D:fferent Place, skillfully combines the essence of these genres in both his productions and carefully curated DJ sets.

His musical prowess quickly garnered recognition, with releases on esteemed labels such as Sol Asylum and Residual Recordings. In 2017, he took a significant step by founding his own label, Telharmonic Texture, which has showcased works from notable artists including Akufen, Paradroid, and Jeff Samuel.

Pressure Point's musical identity is characterized by a fusion of intricate sounds, complex groove compositions, randomized fast-paced beats, and a distinctively deep, melodic synthesis. His productions are enclosed for the large part; composed of synthesizers, modular synth, wonky sounds and nano-loops. All designed by sequencer step, triggers and creative impulses to create a harmonious, unsteady gait. 

Operating under the moniker D:fferent Place, Pressure Point introduces house influences to his signature style. In 2021, he collaborated with Christopher Ledger on a track released on Meander, and also unveiled an original EP on Pluie/Noir. With several remixes under his belt from the past year, Pressure Point anticipates the release of his 6th record under the D:fferent Place alias.

Puy de Sancy is renowned for its picturesque views, so it was just right for a getaway. Needle and Plate set off down the slope in the early afternoon to enjoy the playful landscapes. Gusts of wind mingled with the chirping of birds and blurred into a unified soundscape, mimicking a rare vinyl of field recordings.

Each step was immersive, allowing one to drift toward the tops of the trees, get lost among rustling leaves, and take a look at oneself from the outside. The daylight was replaced by twilight filled with the anticipation of camping and a pleasant fatigue which did not stop one from putting up the tent. Now there was nothing superfluous left around – only the crackle of the fire, two merry men and a magic joint.

– Can you believe it? I can feel the universe sequencing.
– Yeah, that's a good one. I wonder how our homegrown bush is doing. All right, look what I got.
– Did you bring your portable speaker again? I thought we had a deal.

Electro Ride was written and produced in 2022 while I was living in Berlin. No studio. Just my laptop, my mic and a cheap midi keyboard I snagged from a random guy on wallapop. Since then, I haven't found the time to release it. At times, I even contemplated leaving it stored on my desktop, dismissing it as not reflective of the sound I wished to represent at the moment. However, I realized such a decision would be quite selfish.

But upon reflection, I've come to appreciate the journey this piece represents... a snapshot of my creativity during a specific time and place. Therefore, I've decided to share it with the world, allowing others to experience its unique energy and vibe.

Pressure Point is distinguished by his productions and dj sets with a  mixture of elaborated sounds complex groove compositions randomized fast-paced and a typically deep, melodic sound synthesis.

With well-crafted releases on prestigious labels such as Telharmonic Texture, Residual Recordings, Sol Asylum and his own D:fferent Place, he has seen his tracks played by heavyweights such as Petre Inspirescu, Raresh and Rhadoo, affirming himself as a ones-to-watch in the Berlin scene. It is indeed in the German capital that the Italian artist consolidated his career, becoming a regular presence in the iconic Club Der Visionaire, where he has the opportunity to express his blend of house, minimal, techno with splashes of italo-disco and electro. This 1-hour mix comes straight from Milan, the capital of fashion, design and style, where Luca (aka Pressure Point) shared the decks of the Apophis club for "@Animaeltd Invites" with label-head Fabrizio Sala and Modbox.
