 born in Vienna (Austria) and started playing cello at the age of six. Two years later he began to play piano as well, since he loved to make music already at his young age. That surely has a connection with his mother and the fact that she happens to be an opera singer, which had the result that he literally grew up with music from his childhood on.
 Considering becoming a cellist, he went in 2000 to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he got into the class of Christine Vitoux-Erben and Valentin Erben. After 9 years of studying with them, in 2009 he became student of Heinrich Schiff, with whom he is studying currently.

 He attended his first competition successfully in 2006 winning 1st prize at the national Austrian competition 'Prima la Musica' and two years later he represented Austria at the Eurovision Young Musicians competition. In 2011 he was awarded 1st prize at the "Gradus ad Parnassum". He played the Haydn D major cello concerto with Tecwyn Evans and the Grazer Philharmonics at the prize winner concert, which was aired by the Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) a few days later. Sol Daniel also won several prizes at the ISA08 such as the RZB-Prize and the String-Soloist-Prize. Another prize was a concert with the orchestra Spirit of Europe, where he played the Haydn C major concerto with Vladimir Kiradjiev. He also performed this concerto in the same year in Poland with the Rzezowa Filharmonia under Kai Bumann.



In 2007 Sol Daniel entered as the youngest member the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra (Switzerland), where he worked with famous conductors such as Manfred Honeck, Zubin Metha, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Charles Dutoit, Sir Andrew Davis and famous soloists such as Anne Sophie Mutter, Martha Argerich, Evgeny Kissin, and Joshua Bell. He also attended the orchestra's concert tour in November 2007 with Charles Dutoit and Martha Argerich and flew across the United States and Europe to play in famous halls like the Walt Disney hall in Los Angeles, the Avery Fisher Hall in New York and the Züricher Tonhalle amongst others.

 He gave his debut recital in February 2009 at the Schubert hall of the Konzerthaus Wien (Austria), where he performed pieces by Beethoven, Schubert and Ligeti.

In addition to his numerous concert performances Sol Daniel also participated in several master classes with Heidi Litschauer, Gary Hoffman, Christoph Richter, Anner Bylsma, Frans Helmerson and Jens Peter-Maintz.

Since 2004 he has been a scholarship holder of the Rostropovich Cello Foundation in Kronberg (Germany), where they have lent him a cello by Kouwenhoven. Currently he is playing a cello by Alessandro Gagliano from 1750.
