Where Dya Get em? Born from dodgy alleyways and shady park corners, this one’s a naughty little f***er and we’re very pleased to have it lurkin’ out of the darkness at us.

The track’s intro paints the backdrop with lashes of crime, vice, and decadence as the heavily modulated vox samples echo to match the vibes of the underground culture.

The main vocal sample harks back to the 1950s madness of anti-cannabis propaganda, a stark reminder of the mass manipulation that is consistently taking place against our species.

Moving into the drop it’s a no holds barred dance fest of the dark variety, experimental bass using the call of the goat (see if you can spot it) is interspersed with low detuned tones to deliver a bleak landscape primed for skanking and losing it for a while.

This one’s a low-down underground roller, it hits hard and doesn’t apologize, and neither should you.

Premonition 'Come Closer' [Phase Records]

SOLA is a Drum & Bass trio comprised of James, Robbie and Paul. They have releases on Ram's sister label Program, Formation, Korsakov Music, Play Me, Dance Concept, Gorilla Warfare, Dub Damage, Deep In The Jungle, 24 Karat, Soul Deep, Nuusic, Boomslang, Riot Dubs, Druid Records, Heads Bass and their own imprint Grand Theft Audio.

After many singles and EPs, their debut album Stars Align, released on Grand Theft Audio in September 2022 to widespread critical acclaim. The promo journey for the LP landed them an upload on UKF Drum & Bass as well as an interview for UKF with Dave Columbo Jenkins and a guestmix for Mollie Collins on Kiss FM. And 2023 shows no signs of slowing down as they look to build on the momentum they created last year.

James and Robbie are based in Manchester, UK and are currently taking bookings for performances as Sola. Their sets are a fast-paced and unpredictable with an emphasis on crowd reaction and stacked to the brim with tracks that won’t be heard anywhere else for months, sometimes years, as well as fan favourites from their back catalogue. Paul is based is in Victoria, Australia.
