One thing that has truly pleased us as a label is not only welcoming new talented artists to the label but also working alongside who we consider our peers, some of the artists we grew up listening to in the honeymoon years for us of DNB and our all time favourites too.

Add to this a sprinkling of foreign exchange and being able to  work with talented artists / peers from across the globe and you have a very happy record label indeed.

If you have been living under a rock for the past 10+ years or so then you may not have come across the Puerto Rican born producer situated in the U.S of A.

We are very proud to announce our collaboration as a label and artist with none other than Diode. 

A vast catalogue of work has drenched the DNB world for quite some time now and it was only fitting we brought the artist to the attention of our labels followers as his direction pretty much lines up with ours and our ethos which is truly to cover the entire spectrum of Drum and bass.

We are very proud of this one and excited to collaborate for the future. as we introduce the Interruption EP.

1/ “Don't Interrupt Me”

A true favourite of ours this year and a track that has seen
some heavy exposure through some of the larger artists in DNB.

Starting off in Diodes signature Funk sounds and chords, we are quickly led into a remarkable build of audio sonics that place you on the edge of your seat.

Key changes and whirling rises lend themselves to the robotic voices which take a switch as we drop a Jungle Techno snippet before a nan slapping Neurofunk drop.

This one is relentless as we switch basslines and keys throughout until a crescendo of bass and beats.

2/ “Racing”

Foot on the peddle. Let's go. Vin Diesel would be proud of this one. as we welcome “Racing” into the Dirtbox family.

A slapper of A neurofunk drop with some awesome melodic swishes.

This one is a Virus-esque Chugger of grade A prime classic sounds accompanied by gated synths and up to date bass synthesis. 

An awesome one for the middle of the set at prime time.

3/ “In Silence” 

We close out the EP on a high note. A true one, Piano’s, sweeps and vocals propulse us into an epic percussive lead breakdown, Anthemic and beautiful this one ticks all the boxes.

A true, and beautiful way to end the EP with Diode flexing his production muscle and showing his range, Big time Interruption EP is out July 29th exclusively on Beatport & Spotify then everywhere else 2 weeks after

SOLA is a Drum & Bass trio comprised of James, Robbie and Paul. They have releases on Eatbrain, Jungle Cakes, ProgRam, Suburban Base, Formation, Korsakov Music, Play Me, Nuusic, Dance Concept, Gorilla Warfare, Dub Damage, Deep In The Jungle, Riot Dubs, Boomslang, 24 Karat, Soul Deep, Headsbass, and their own imprint Grand Theft Audio.

After many singles and EPs, their debut album Stars Align, released on Grand Theft Audio in September 2022 to widespread critical acclaim. The promo journey for the LP landed them an upload on UKF Drum & Bass as well as an interview for UKF with Dave Columbo Jenkins and a guestmix for Mollie Collins on Kiss FM.

They hit 2023 running with high profile EP and Single releases on Korsakov Music, Play Me, Boomslang & Formation, which have seen them receiving support from as far afield as Pendulum, Sub Focus & Ray Keith. In April, they won the DJ Rap remix competition against 658 other entries and in May they released the remix album Stars Realigned on GTA, including the anthemic Cliques remix of Pico De Gallo.

In August and September, they did their first tour outside of Europe with performances in Canada, USA, Vietnam & Australia and are currently planning an extended US & Canada tour for 2024, a year which so far has seen them release on legendary labels like Eatbrain, Jungle Cakes and Suburban Base, as well as netting a second UKF upload for Gulf Stream w/ K Jah on Grand Theft Audio.

Their sets are a fast-paced and unpredictable with an emphasis on crowd reaction and stacked to the brim with tracks that won't be heard anywhere else for months, sometimes years, as well as fan favourites from their back catalogue.
