Warm in Colour

Hector Couto’s Roush imprint opens 2017 with it’s first of three samplers set to drop throughout the year as the label heads to BPM Festival, boasting the likes of Javi Bora, Los Pastores and Arado.
With Couto at the helm, Roush has rapidly gone on to establish itself as one of the key imprints within the world of house over the past three years. With artists such as Steve Rachmad, Darius Syrossian, & DJ W!ld touching down since the labels debut in late 2013, attention now turns to Playa del Carmen, with the Roush team assembling a collective of worldwide talent to curate their ‘On & On BPM Sampler’.
First up, Spaniard Vozmediano welcomes the sunshine from the off with a medley of playful vocals and warming riffs in ‘Back2Soul’, before Arado’s driving ‘Broken Dog’ comes forth, armed with a menacing groove and crisp hats. Liverpool based producer James Organ then introduces the thunderous ‘Beat The Slump’, before Oblack founders Los Pastores provide a delicate break in proceedings, laying down a trademark combination of organic percussion patterns and elegant pads throughout ‘Make Ends Meet’.
Next, Black Girl / White Girl raise the tempo once again with the rolling ‘Closure’, whilst Jacabo Padilla and Javi Bora & IAAM strip things back and gets percussive through ‘On A Roll’ and ‘Time To Tool’, with both cuts clearly aimed towards the sands and sees of the Mexican coast. Closing out the package, Italy’s Atove pairs up with Londoner Apollo84 to drop the rumbling ‘Back All Night’, Le Vinyl & Omez merge male vocals and coos with bubbling 303 lines in ‘Guasapens’, before UK trio Wax On Mare St. tie everything together in fine style with their excellent groove focused cut ‘Road Bloc’.

To grace our Deeperfect label show at BPM 2017, we thought it only right to bring you another mix album of epic proportions and we are dropping it on 6 of January, the day before our event! This time we asked our good friend Leonardo Gonnelli to be your musical guide through this twisted journey of tech house grooves and tribal rhythms. The resulting mix is a seamlessly blended snapshot of the Deeperfect sound and it is available as a curated DJ mix or individual tracks for your listening pleasure.
Leonardo presents 11 top-shelf previously unreleased cuts that are set to rock Playa Del Carmen to the core. The artists featured on “Deeperfect Playa Del Carmen 2017” are as diverse as the music itself. The line up represents the label regulars such as Natch & Dothen, Danniel Selfmade and the boss man, Stefano Noferini as well as label newcomers like Anek, Audiohell, Hauswerks, Seff, and many more. 
Each and every one of these tracks screams party time and the selection is so meticulous that there is something for every moment. Whether it is during the daylight hours dancing with sand between your toes or after sunset when the party begins to climax in the cool Mexican air, this is the soundtrack to BPM 2017. London-based duo Leftwing & Kody deliver their first outting on Solid Grooves Records with their ‘Sound Boy’ EP, featuring the banging tech house anthem of a title track.

Following releases on Truesoul, Relief, Knee Deep In Sound and their own Lost Records imprint, Leftwing & Kody are broadening their reach once again by gracing Solid Grooves. Their music has been the focal point of dancefloor stomping club nights for the past five years and this next release further showcases their jacking motif.

By utilizing a legendary vocal sample from an old-school garage classic, ‘Sound Boy’ is made for peak-time moments. Booming bass, hard hitting percussion and whimsical, whirring sirens make for an infectious tune with strong dancefloor appeal.
