Dieses Lied ist aus der Sicht von heute entstanden – in einer Zeit, in der Schweigen keine Option mehr ist. Ich habe es geschrieben, weil ich spüre, dass wir alle – egal aus welcher Nation, egal in welcher Sprache – eine Stimme haben, die gehört werden muss.

Inspiriert wurde ich von einem Original-Lied, das ich auf Instagram gesehen habe. Ich habe den Text in die „Wir“-Form verwandelt und dabei eigene Worte hinzugefügt, um ihn noch kraftvoller und zeitgemäßer zu machen. Jede Zeile trägt die Energie der heutigen Welt, die Dringlichkeit, etwas zu sagen, und den Wunsch, Menschen zu motivieren.

Dieses Lied ist kein politisches Programm – es ist ein Weckruf. Dramatisch, emotional und voller Leidenschaft, soll es Menschen aufrütteln, ihre Stimme zu erheben und aktiv zu werden.

Ob in Deutsch, Russisch, Ukrainisch, Türkisch, Italienisch oder jeder anderen Sprache:
Die Botschaft ist klar – wir lassen uns nicht spalten, wir lassen uns nicht mundtot machen.

Es ist ein Spiegel unserer Zeit, gefüllt mit Wut, Hoffnung und dem Drang nach Veränderung. Und es soll eins bewirken: Dass jeder, der es hört, spürt – auch deine Stimme zählt.

It comes after the duo have spent years putting out music on the likes of Get Physical, Defected, Mother and of course their own Lapsus Music. They play a hybrid live and DJ set around the world in the most essential clubs and festivals and have done for more than a decade. They have worked with legends like Kevin Sanderson and scored plenty of club hits and now they are sure to do so again. 

Opener ‘The Black Milk’ is a high impact and energetic cut with old school piano stabs. Clipped vocal loops add fuel to the fire and the big house drums power it along to great effect while deep bass underpins the whole thing. On the flip, Deep Mamba is a more stripped back and late night tune. It has rasping bass, more silky diva vocals and a hypnotic groove that really gets you moving your rump. 

These are two vital new tunes that are designated for big things.

Smalltown DJs & Dances With White Girls - What's Your Poison

Electronic superstar Mihalis Safras makes his Sola debut with ‘Lacid EP’: two devastatingly effective club cuts that further establish him as a producer of consummate talent. 

Over the past few years, Mihalis Safras has been one of electronic music’s most consistent and prolific producers. A fierce champion of vinyl and tireless purveyor of quality tech house and techno, he’s worked with a raft of leading labels including Saved, Cajual, Repopulate Mars, Relief, 8bit, and of course his own label Material. Consistently one of the most charted artists across both Beatport and Resident Advisor, Mihalis contribution to dance music cannot be underestimated. 

2018 has been an especially strong year for him. Working closely with Relief he released no fewer than four collabs with Green Velvet, all of which have gone top 10 on Beatport. This summer he dropped an epic remix of Claptone’s ‘Stay The Night’, and now makes his debut on Solardo’s Sola imprint with another highly impressive two track EP. 

Kicking things off, title track ‘Lacid’ grabs your attention early on with visceral synth stabs and a rhythmic vocal sample that are soon joined by huge, pummelling drums. A devastatingly effective, powerful club weapon that sits comfortably between house and techno, ‘Lacid’ is another commanding addition to Mihalis’s arsenal. 

‘Rewrite It’ twists a well-known vocal sample, pairing it with scything percussion and hammering drums. Beautifully sinister, it builds a wonderfully dark tension before breaking into an intensely satisfyingly heads-down groove, and completes yet another sterling package from this inimitable producer.
