Took a trip to america the old land of the free.
All you find is arrogance amongst faded beauty.
In a land that is too young to contain ideas that are so old.
You're looking for adventure but it's all been bought and sold.

When nothing's give away.

And somethings not quite right.
Just drive into the night.

Took a trip to America to see what you could see.
The only thing you don't expect is abject poverty.
The land that doesn't care about the people that it serves
It doesn't give you any time unless you hold onto your nerve.

Keep money in your hands.
Whilst sticking to your plans.
And don't be taken ill.
By the illusion of free will.

Forget bout the alamo and feel the desert ground.
All you find out there is lots of rows of iron thorns.
An airbrushing existence who's foundations are left worn.
