This song is from my project Rhyme Frenzy One. On this project, I tried to push the boundaries of rhyming: using long rhyme schemes in both duration and syllable count, and at times layering multiple different schemes simultaneously. So I ended up turning a couple tracks from my rap album Rhyme Frenzy One into slushwave. Wasn’t planned, just messing around in FL Studio and stumbled into a sound that felt really dope. I tried it out with a few songs from the album to see which ones worked best slushed up, and landed on two that felt right.

It’s got that hazy, slowed-down vibe — kind of chopped and screwed, kind of ambient. If you're into that kind of stuff, you might dig it. Thinking I might do the same with Rhyme Frenzy Two once that’s out.

This album is a blend of ambient and vaporwave with a consistently low BPM. The sound is built around a mystical, emotional atmosphere, using heavy delay and reverb effects — especially on vocals, which appear in the second half of each track and are slowed and pitch-shifted. The bassline carries its own melodic role, while the drums are minimal and heavily filtered, often resembling the sounds of a heartbeat. Synth leads provide the main melodic structure, contributing to the dreamy, echo-heavy texture throughout the album.

Hey, I’m Solar Sol. I make slow, dreamy, slushy, emotional stuff, mostly influenced by vaporwave, slushwave, lo-fi, and space ambient. 

I really like long rhymes too, so I incorporate them into my music sometimes as well! For instance, "under the vast sky, SPENT the NIGHTS RIFE with PAIN // cause part of me died when you WENT to BRIGHT LIGHTS LANE", but still figuring out how to implement these types of rhyme schemes into singing and slower songs.

With rhymes in mind, I also make what I call "frenzy rap", which is based on (a) a rapping throughout the entire beat (no interludes, pauses, hooks, etc.) and (b) long and complex rhyme schemes! 

I currently have three albums in the works, all with their own unique identities / soundscapes. I expect at least one of them to be done by mid-August 2025!
