To celebrate its 20th anniversary, SolarSoundSystem, the pioneer of the sound-systems powered only with renewable energies and founder of Radio3S.org "the first 100% solar powered webradio", is proud to release "Solar Tracks # 01", a compilation gathering 8 artists from its worldwide network.

As climate change and ecological crises intensify, all of the SolarSoundSystem branches are joining forces more than ever to make culture a mouthpiece for environmental causes. Over the years, our worldwide organization, that has been minimizing carbon impacts in parties and music festivals, has been fortunate enough to be supported by renowned international artists and wishes to honour them, show gratitude, and freeze this support forever !

"Solar Tracks # 01", of which the first 300 copies will be numbered, carries 6 tracks of DJs and producers that have been playing on the SolarSoundSystems these past 20 years from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Basque Country, Mexico, Israel and Hong Kong. With 6 exclusive productions, this first compilation includes original tracks and remixes by @coldcut-official, @jay-ka, @ovhal44, @gregorythme, @naduve, @taishocker, @francoisdelmundo and @tkuz .

Furthermore, in tribute to the track "Timber" by ColdCut,  present only on the vinyl version of this release,  and which was the first to denounce deforestation in it's video-clip back in 1998, a tree will be planted in the Amazon for each copy sold through a partnership with One Tree Planted, an environmental NGO that is rebuilding forests and restoring land.

"My set reflects my musical influences from the moment you will find some Mexican artists like Mufti, Chinosynth or Alvee, with whom we have already collaborated with the label. But also other artists like Paulor and Theus Mago. I also put cosmic songs from DC Salas, Perel, Alvaro Cabana and Vongold. It's a good mix of what catches my attention today, looking forward with young people but also listening to the big, more established producers, always looking for the right sound wherever it is."

Bio:

Diego Mouchet aka El Mosquetero is a french and bolivian guitarist & songwriter. He began his career of DJ and producer in 2019 when he arrived to the label HEARec. Before that he lived for 15 years in South America: Bolivia, Argentina & Mexico and now he is based in Paris. Since then he has performed in many cities around France, as well as organising events. He recently joined the Solar Sound System as a curator on Radio3S.

Sara Gat - Solar Sets #007

DJ, producer brought up with Kill The DJ and Andrew Weatherall sauce during his adolescence, he cultivates an almost unhealthy taste for the electronic sounds of the 70's and 80's, from italo disco to EBM, from New Beats to Krautrock.
Crazy synths, racy rhythms, jerky oscillations, a touch of cynicism still there but
never inside.

He signed 2 EPs with NEIN Records in 2016 for 2 EPs, then went on to remix for Pardon Moi and Monoblok & Plsktr alongside Curses at Play Pal Music
He then joined the Dogs & Vultures label in Madrid, signing several remixes, an original EP and edits by Fad Gagdet and Twice a Man.
In 2019, he created the Crowhunt Records label with Alda where he collaborated with Pardon Moi / FLXXX / Jump Seat / Inhalt / Nabta and Corporal

Deviant DIsco ( @deviant-disco-1 ) : Deviant Disco is a Paris based collective founded by Eva Peel in 2012. "Deviant Disco" - or the will to explore an electronic sound off the beaten tracks ; something sounding like disco, but which is not really disco.

Solar Sound System : proposes clean parties powered by renewable energy. We offer the public to share an energetic and participatory experience. Our systems consist of turntables for DJs , and a powerful sound system that can cover from 50 to 500 people.
The modules are powered by two renewable energy in the presence :
- The sun in most cases and consistently.
- Public pedaling bikes with generators.

Les Grands Voisins : Imagine instead of the wall we saw boldness and creativity used to bring life to unoccupied spaces. Les Grands Voisins is a demonstration project in the centre of Paris which shows that it is possible to create a space with multiple uses for the common good of everyone.

Active for more than a decade in the Tel-Aviv electronic music scene, co-owner of legendary (feu) Michatronix bar, co-founder of the excellent Malka-Tuti label and hyperactive DJ and promoter, Asaf is a foundation brick of today's Israeli electronic music landscape.

The wizard made us the honor to perform on our solar powered machine for an epic 2 hours set at our first open air solar party (co-organized with Urban Troubadour and Street redeem project).

Recorded the 08.06.19 on the TelAviv.SolarSoundSystem machine in the Tel Aviv woods. Bon voyage !

Furthermore, in tribute to the track "Timber" by ColdCut,  present only on the vinyl version of this release,  and which was the first to denounce deforestation in it's video-clip back in 1998, a tree will be planted in the Amazon for each copy sold through a partnership with One Tree Planted, an environmental NGO that is rebuilding forests and restoring land. 💿 = 🌲
