Talla 2XLC, after his incredibly busy tour schedule in the USA, where he delivered top-notch performances at the Dreamstate festival on Saturday, is now preparing for an equally demanding schedule in 2025. In February, he has three awe-inspiring performances lined up at the UnKonscious Festival in Thailand. When he’s at his homebase in Frankfurt, he locked himself in his studio to create outstanding tracks, including his newborn brainchild, “Ex Animo,” which means “From The Heart” in Latin. Released on his own label, That’s Trance, “Ex Animo” is a full-on, 140 BPM uplifting euphoric trance track of the highest quality. It’s destined to become a staple in the DJ sets of the biggest names in the trance scene. The production is clean, clear, and crisp, carrying the listener away with its nearly 8-minute duration packed with powerful drums, punchy basslines, thunderous metallic kicks, acid overtones, and over-the-top cool synthy hooks that build anticipation. In the first short breakdown, demanding dark synths are added to make the sonic experience even fuller, leading up to the highly atmospheric breakdown that lasts nearly 2 and a half minutes.
