Bulgarian-born, Oslo-based talent Kameliia’s sound leaves little room for misunderstanding. It’s ghostly, powerful and mesmerising stuff that leans on a wealth of inspiration from peers and the likes of Burial’s shadowy UK dubstep. Having studied music for four years, the production of sounds comes naturally, and on the dancefloor she’s given the space to test those personal and unreleased experiments in situ; that feedback is part of the process. Her sets too follow a formula, and a narrative thread that builds from more sparsely populated compositions to maximal, high-intensity techno, a vertical trip of the purest calibre. The threatening and world-shaking sounds she’s come to be known for have coalesced into a number of well-received productions, and made her a solid collaborator for names such as Amotik, Rødhåd and Setaoc Mass; it would be hard to imagine better company for the work she’s doing. Her cavernous and highly spiritual sound is soaked in gritty textures and characterized by a generous dosing of formidable bass, enough to get blood-flowing and her calendar packed with names like Berghain, Fold, Fuse and essaim. In search for purpose, stuck in a loop of grooves.

For a while, I have been narrowing down my sound by getting inspiration on the dancefloor and from the artists in my circle. Allowing myself experiment as much as possible and gaining clarity on my style of mixing. For the first time, I felt like I reached a certain point of understanding of my sound and would like to present the debut mix ‘Loop State’ for my new series Echo Of My Own Shadow. The aim is to escape the echo of past self through shadow work, presence and consistency. Stop worrying about being perceived and break free from the box.

The broader vision is to show the imperfections of the journey and eliminate the gap between my real self and me as an artist. To be as versatile as possible, unpredictable at moments and aligned with the rhythms. Delivering hypnotic sounds with authentic energy. 

Echo Of My Own Shadow is not about mastery, but momentum. Every recording is a balance between pressure and release, where the sound tells the story my words can’t. Each groove holds a mirror to something internal - forgotten, distorted, or evolving. This is a conversation with the unconscious, a ritual of becoming, a refusal to be defined.

Bio:
Rubén Seoane started collecting electronic music records 20 years ago. In 2011 he played for the first time at the legendary Moog in Barcelona, ​​where a year later he became a resident. Since then he has shared the stage with the best and brightest of the international electronic scene. He loves experimentation and is always looking for new ways to surprise his audience. As for genres, he doesn't like to limit himself, playing with techno, acid and industrial, adding more experimental subgenres to create a magnetizing atmosphere. In 2021 he released his first EP, “Disinformation” on Ancient Methods' record label “Persephonic Sirens”, last year he released his second EP “Solstice” on the same label.

We continue our journey with another in-house EP by Aäg, bringing us a droney and immersive work. Bewitched EP unfolds as a dance of raw frequencies, building a ritualistic atmosphere where sound itself takes the role of the shaman.

The mood turns calmer yet more introspective. Layered basslines and spoken fragments draw the listener into a meditative state, opening a path toward the darker corners of the mind.

To complete the release, three remixers reshape this vision for the dancefloor. Floating Machine delivers his signature deep and powerful take on “Momento.” MGR96 follows with a reimagined version of the same track, stripping it down into a minimal yet groove-driven trip. Closing the EP, HYOS bends “Stuporous Catatonia” into a fast, cavernous, and textured gallop.
