this track is an inner journey expressed through music. it was all born in one moment during the evening of 8/8/22. 
I took my guitar which i'd been neglecting, started to strum around, and this one tune came to me… I played around with it over and over again, eventually wanting to record it. as soon as I started recording, so many new layers added on to it, new melodies & words found their way to me… and this tune was born in one flow! it was so deeply healing to give birth to it, so I wanted to share it with you. 
(it has a very raw & natural flow to it, since it's all improvised, nothing cut out or added in.)

Divine Demons

It's just a single 
Spark of warmth

A momentary glow
A glance

Yet it somehow naturally
Warms my heart 

Reminds me of
The golden hour

Sun rays that emerged, reflecting

As my skin became the ocean
As your touch
Became the sun

Yet I thought
The sunset moment
Contained its magic
Purely in its passing glance

While my waves crashed
Water drops reflecting

Deeper oceans
Higher tides

Why had I
Not realized

That the nature of the sun's rays
Was eternal?

Even as the tide turns
Even as the earth turns
Even as the moon
Waxes and wanes

How dared I feel unworthy
Of the sun's illuminating rays? 

Distant shores
Of past endeavors

Stories framed
In labyrinths of ice –

Stunned, impermanent, remaining freezing

Had I come to know and tust
The power of the higher, wiser mind
At last?

This melody is inspired by "Spark of Warmth", a poem. 

It's a song of love and longing, seeking solitude whilst yearning for connection, and balancing my life between it all.
