HYPNOSIS is a party series that promises nights of mesmerising music, centered in diasporic sounds 🌀 

The first party took place on June 5th, 2024 at Bossa Nova Civic Club. It was a really special night, which I closed out with this set. Many thanks to Blvksite for mastering. Hope you all enjoy!

During fall 2024, visual artist Shantell Martin "encouraged New Yorkers to pause and find a meditative moment in Times Square with The Path: A Meditation of Lines, the artist’s first-ever walking path painted onto the Broadway plaza between 47th and 48th Streets." 

I played a set on October 11, 2024 as part of 8 Ball Radio's residency at The Path. Enjoy!

sola system is a nigerian brooklyn based dj with a penchant for black diasporic sound. raised between three continents, borders and genres aren’t boundaries when sola system weaves sonic tapestries  - from global club and bad bitch rap to percussive bass and shimmery house, sola system’s goal is to make you move. 

sola system is driven by a desire to connect QTPOC communities through music. sola system is a co-founder of ABEG NYC, a collective by and for queer Africans, and SLICK DOWN, a collective focused on electronic music’s roots in black culture. they are a resident on 8 Ball Radio, where they host “constellations with sola system” every 1st friday of the month and host their party HYPNOSIS quarterly.
