Recorded in our home studio as part of our up coming album. Planned release in May/June. 
We have just performed to a full house at the Danny Kyle Stage as part of Celtic Connections 2023.This earned us a "highly recommended" for 2023.
Our next project is filming new live videos as a duo in the incredible Glasgow Cathedral. This is scheduled for the start of march.

So here at Solea HQ we are DESPERATE for the summer to kick in. As soon as it does we are gonna by ourselves new suits and grab a Cuba Libre......perhaps two.

We joined on this track by Jim McEwan on piano and Fender Rhodes. Funky, soulful vibes. We wanted 80's latin funk.

We are Solea, a guitar duo formed in Glasgow performing original tracks with a wide variety of influences. From, rock and pop to Celtic and world music, all with a healthy Spanish influence to boot. What's not to love? Coast To Coast was one of two tracks written with Glasgow in mind a well as Scotland in general. Musically we sought to capture some of the beauty and fun character of Glasgow, Coast has a definite folk influence both rhythmically and harmonically , with a catchy intro hook, verse and chorus. During the solo sections we get to unleash some fun guitar pyrotechnics too.

What's not to love? Home was one of two tracks dedicated to Glasgow, specifically that feeling that you get when returning to Glasgow after a time away. I think all Glaswegians can relate to that sensation. Musically, Home is really laid back, stripped to just two guitars to allow the idea of space and opens to be tangible within the track. Again these are qualities that I immediately associate with our home city.

Solea was formed during lockdown with aim of producing songs influenced by Flamenco and Latin music and just generally having some fun. As working musicians we have a wide range of influences from rock to jazz via Turkish pop and shred guitar.
