A humble shepherd was tired after a long day of work. So, he wandered into a forest to find a cool, soft place to rest. At first, it seemed like any other forest - quiet, still and green. But the more he walked, the more he realized that it was anything but quiet. Or still. The silence was filled with rustling, humming, singing. Every crack in the ground was an opportunity for new things to grow. Every inch filled with life. An ecosystem full of randomness and complexity. And yet it was comforting - a home to countless creatures. And what started as a tired shepherd’s search for sleep somehow turned into a magical journey. 

He befriended little rabbits and deer. He bathed in a stream and played in the sun. As night fell, the forest did not sleep. It seemed to glow, to dance to a rhythm that he could not grasp. But he started to dance too. Soon he began to understand the way the forest worked. The shepherd thought about the interconnectedness of the universe, how each living thing supports and depends on each other. Then suddenly, the fragility of the breathing, living system around him became clear, almost palpable. It could all be gone in a few decades – just a blink of an eye for an ancient forest that had spent millennia growing, shrinking, adapting, overcoming, all in perfect, harmonious balance.

And for those of you who backed those two heavyweight techno cuts, this single provides more of the same; system-rumbling beats and killer dance-floor hooks all topped of with a cheeky 90s lift. 

Remixes come from Kevin McKay and Matt Sassari. Matt's recent singles for Relief, Intec, DFTD and Kraftek have confirmed his status as one of the go-to men for tough beats in 2016. Here he takes Dalfie's bouncing original and gives it a real 4am strobes-on workout. Kevin McKay on the other hand pups the energy levels and delivers techno 2016 with an Aril Brikha flavour.

Roberto Traista is been causing quite a stir with his melodic influenced driving progressive house productions. He has seen his works released on labels like PHW Elements, Hydrogen and Clinique amongst others, and has gathered massive support from the worlds finest.

With his debut on ICONYC Roberto shows maturity and musical development, as we kick off with the deep, hypnotic warm melodic layers of ‘Air’, interspersed with subtle effective percussion while the drop is a glowing bucket of emotions. Roberto manages to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

The second track on the EP we have ‘Behind Your Soul’, a tougher and tech influenced track, interspersing with roomy glowing love and filtered stabs, which beautifully leads into the dreamlike drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser

With the Air EP, Roberto really shows that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a dreamy warm pad laden, arpy melodic hug of a release that will leave you with many smile induced moments! Not to be missed.
