Texas-bred, San Francisco-schooled and Berlin based producer, DJ and vocalist Kevin Knapp makes his first solo appearance on Hot Creations. Already a massive Summer Anthem for the Hot Creations and Paradise Crew.. this is shaping up to be one of the singles of the Summer.

Equally adept in the studio, on the decks and behind the mic, Kevin Knapp has emerged from the bustling Bay Area dance music community to international attention, with support from the likes of Matt Tolfrey, Richy Ahmed, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, Claude VonStroke and Audiojack. It was only a matter of time before Knapp heard the call of the global techno capital, relocating to Berlin in early 2013.

He’s also become a fixture on the international circuit, gigging across the globe, from Detroit to New Dehli, San Diego to Seoul, and appearing at industry-leading events like Movement (DEMF), ADE and Off-Sonar Week. His releases and collaborations can be found on the likes of Leftroom, Dirtybird, OFF Recordings, Defected and now Hot Creations.

Sidney Charles & Santé have teamed up again to forge the 'Forever EP’ on Hot Creations with Russ Yallop on remix duty. Those that have witnessed their epic sets playing together will know the vibrant energy they create and this latest offering stands stead to them.

The title track ‘Forever’ uses dynamic claps, an indelible beat and a simple but effective vocal that ties all the elements together. With a playful production technique at its heart, this is a cut made for summertime. Things get a little darker with ‘Mogli’, morphing high-pitched, glitchy sounds alongside a hissing beat. On the flip side, Russ Yallop remixes ‘Forever’ to make the whole track bounce with a heavy and thick bassline.

Hamburg-born Sidney Charles has only been releasing music for four years but has already had a string of successes on labels such as 8bit, Moda Black, AVOTRE and VIVa. Berlin-based Santé is also involved with all areas of music as he DJ’s, produces, and is building on his own record label AVOTRE. Sidney Charles & Santé have previously released on Hot Creations with ‘All Night Long’ on the ‘Hot Summer Jams’ album.

Russ Yallop is a key member of the underground house scene and  is no stranger to Hot Creations; he has previously released ‘Traffic’ and ‘System Crank’ with them, whist also regularly DJing at their worldwide events. He is also an established member of the Crosstown Rebels family after first releasing with them in 2010.

ONNO pairs up with Reelow for a pair of cavernous cuts with Solid Grooves founder PAWSA providing a remix.

Releasing on Moon Harbour, Saved and VIVa, not to mention playing residencies at Ushuaia and Amsterdam’s Studio 80, ONNO has earned his stripes as a reputable producer and DJ over the past decade. Meanwhile, Hungarian-born Barcelona-based artist Reelow’s steady rise has been enviable, appearing on Time Has Changed, Moan and Serkal, whilst garnering support from Carola, Beyer, Capriati and Loco Dice to name a few. Collaborating for the first time, this pairing is an exciting follow up to Solid Grooves’ Beatport dominating ‘See Line EP’ from Dennis Cruz.

A percussive workout from the get-go, ‘Don’t Stop’ sets out to shake dancefloors and it does so with a rumbling low-end, subtle vocal and twisted effects. ‘University Of Street’ then delivers an infectious snare while shuffling hats and mesmerising chords work their magic. Tying it together, PAWSA, known for his releases on Green Velvet’s Relief Records and Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD Records, rolls out the bass whilst emphasising the vocal in a lively rendition of ‘Don’t Stop’.

Following on from Acid Jump, which was released back on the label in 2014, Russian-born producer Eskuche returns to Hot Creations with a club-ready solo offering titled Activator.

Speaking of the EP Eskuche reveals that the inspiration came after the Paradise closing party last year. Wanting to make something that would fit the vibe of the DC10 terrace, Activator was born. Eskuche’s production style is apparent in his latest output. Title track Activator employs rolling drum pads and a low-slung beat. The bass rumbles on through B-side Pleasure Beat, displaying hints of acid, a prominent percussive section and an eerie, vocal hook.

Since his debut release in 2012, Eskuche has broken through the musical stratosphere. He’s had releases on Nervous Records, Materialism and Mr. Nice Guy and These releases have garnered support from some of the industry’s most prominent names including Marco Carola, Laurent Garnier and Maya Jane Coles. Last year saw his hit track Freaky Stuff played extensively on BBC Radio 1 and hit the top 5 spot in the Traxsource charts. The Ibiza-based DJ and producer looks set to end 2018 on a high with this release and a debut gig with the Paradise crew at The Brooklyn Mirage lined up.
