Solid Grooves unveil their 2022 'Ibiza Sampler' as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite seven of the label's residents and regulars for a huge summer offering.

2022 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Solid Grooves as they celebrate ten years in style with a host of stand-out shows, including OFF Sonar and Kappa Futur, alongside recent appearances at Space Miami, Fabric and Printworks.

However, the crown jewel in the programming undeniably comes via their biggest Ibiza season to date. With a move to renowned institution DC10 backed by lineups stacked full of talent, the collective only adds to things on the label front as they reveal their latest summer compilation. Opening the season in style, the nine-track 'Ibiza Sampler' welcomes the arrival of a stacked V/A with fresh heat from close friends and ever-impressing regulars.

In usual fashion, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA contribute a pair of heavily-requested signature cuts, alongside peak-time and after-hours anthems from residents Dennis Cruz, Eddy M, Reelow, Ramin Rezaie and Bassel Darwish, plus label signees Classmatic and JUST2.

Rolling through the summer with a stacked schedule of releases, Solid Grooves continues to drop must-have material from its distinguished family of artists while spotlighting some of the freshest emerging talents in the game.The next new name to step into the spotlight comes from Mexico City, as DJ/producer KinAhau readies the biggest release of his career so far. A go-to cut for founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA across their sets at DC10 and beyond, August brings another Solid Grooves debut with the release of the vibrant 'Turned Turk'.

Guided by the production's infectious brass melodies and backed by rugged kicks, rolling low-ends and skittering vocal murmurs, 'Turned Turk' delivers an abundance of energy as Solid Grooves once again drop more prime dancefloor material.

Solid Grooves reveals the fourth instalment of its 'Raw Grooves' series as Carloh, CHKLTE and Shokë return alongside a wealth of new names including Francis De Simone and Inavo.

Launched as a home for impactful club-focused productions, Solid Grooves' sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw has released some of the collective's biggest go-to anthems of late, with artists such as Josh Butler, Ramin Rezaie, Beltran, JUST2 and Antss dropping heat on the label.

Usually an annual fixture in the calendar, 2022 becomes the first year to see two VA offerings on the imprint as the UK favourites return with the fourth volume of 'Raw Grooves', locked and loaded with both returning and fresh talent. Stepping things up again, the fourth in the series sees returning trio Carloh, CHKLTE, and Shokë drop fresh material while unveiling impressive label debuts from emerging names in Elijah Wolfe, Francis De Simone, Inavo, Kidoo, Havoc & Lawn and Dot N Life.

With a selection of productions spanning the house sphere, London-based DJ/producer pairing MANT continue to showcase their varied sound and style. Arriving straight from their recent collaboration with US Garage icon Todd Edwards and building on 2022's releases schedule with music via Saved, ORIGINS, VIVa MUSiC and more, they close out March with a first appearance on Solid Grooves in the form of their new single, 'No Turning Back'.

Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.

Jamie Jones joins forces with New York’s David Berrie for an electrifying two track release on Hot Creations. Doctor Zouk is the result of a friendship spanning many years, and is set to be unleashed this Autumn.

Title track Doctor Zouk is a bumpy, chuggy roller with a prominent percussive break and heady tribal undertone. Future Society uses thumping drum pads over a growling bassline with unmistakable high hats weaved together over futuristic synths.

Jamie Jones is one of the industry’s most in demand and recognised DJs. He heads up one of Ibiza’s most treasured parties, Paradise at DC10, and now takes it to all corners of the globe. His revered Hot Creations imprint has put out more than one hundred releases as well as playing a major part in launching the careers of Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Detlef.

Spending his formative years in New York, sneaking into the city’s diverse and flamboyant nightclubs and heavily influenced by a broad spectrum of genres, it wasn’t long before David Berrie took to the turntables. He released on Jones’ Hottrax label last year and has had a number of releases on Nervous and Monique Sp é ciale. He commands regular slots at BPM festival as well as at the Paradise nights.
