Following 2021’s ‘Rocca EP’ on Hottrax and releases on Solid Grooves Raw, elrow Music, and What NXT, London-based DJ/producer Antss drops his second EP on Jamie Jones’ imprint this September, the heavy two-tracker ‘Rave’. 

The title track opens with rumbling basslines and crisp percussion, before a pounding 4/4 kick and vocal snippets give way to lush pads in the breakdown. ‘Out Of Service’ also utilises vocals, with the addition of trippy FX, heavy low-end, and hard-hitting, propulsive drums to round out the EP.

New York's Ky William makes his debut appearance on Solid Grooves with 'You & Me'.

Based in Brooklyn and featuring as a regular across a long list of New York's premier venues and institutions, Andhera Records boss Ky William is building a reputation which is seeing his name branch out Stateside and beyond. Releasing a selection of slick material via a wealth of solid imprints while playing alongside the likes of Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers, Danny Tenaglia and Dubfire, his next outing welcomes a big label debut as he makes his first appearance on Michael Bibi and PAWSA's Solid Grooves Records with his new single, 'You & Me'.

A low-slung production built around crisp hats and punchy kicks, 'You & Me' delivers a rolling cut guided by hooky vocal samples and subtle eerie synths for a skippy and rumbling cut set to create plenty of heads-down, hands-up moments.

Solid Grooves serve up a five-track sampler featuring label founders PAWSA and Michael Bibi alongside label favourites ONNO, Reelow and Dennis Cruz.

Launching in September last year, Solid Grooves Records has been on an upwards trajectory ever since. The London and Ibiza brand are now about to kick-start their weekly Ibiza event series every Thursday at Vista Club where their core artists will share the decks with special guests throughout the summer. In light of this the founders have curated five tracks from some of their core roster that’s illustrative of the Solid Grooves musical aesthetic.

First up, Dennis Cruz ‘Fever’ is a rumbling track boasting echoing percussion and a heady spoken word sample. Michael Bibi then drops a moody number teeming with syncopated rhythms and chopped vocals before ONNO unleashes a cavernous cut named ‘Body Shake’ that’s geared for the peaktime. Next, PAWSA ‘Luster’ is a bass fuelled roller that takes no prisoners until Reelow concludes the package with the intricate ‘Shaolin Slap’.

Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.
