Lapsus Music label heads Supernova come next with a superb new EP Life is a Disco featuring a brace of brilliant house cuts.

Supernova are Emiliano Nencioni and Giacomo Godi, an Italian DJ and production duo that have over the last decade made the transition from rising stars to scene legends. They have mastered a wide range of styles with equal class and now once again come through with a standout new offering.

Life is a Disco goes first with the standout vocals of the legendary Mr V. His tender tones deliver in a hushed style that lends the cut real soul, while the lively drums bring disco energy and colour to house music energy. Art on the Road is a more stripped back house sound with smooth chords and icy percussion. It's heady and peppered with a touch of tribal style for those worldly dance floor moments.

These are two brilliant new cuts from this vital duo.

Hailing from Brazil, Marian weaves the rhythms of his home country into every track. With releases on Hot Creations, CUFF, and Deeperfect, plus his standout seven-track EP ‘Marian Moods’ on Mood Child—backed by Joseph Capriati and Marco Carola—his momentum keeps building. After appearing on Hottrax’s ‘Jams Vol. 1’ alongside Yolanda Be Cool and Fast Eddie, he now steps up for a solo return and delivers three dynamic cuts mixing old-school vibes with new-school energy. 

“This EP was really inspired by Jamie Jones’ sets—the music he plays, the energy he creates, and the tracks I love to listen to and play myself. It’s a fusion of old-school and new-school, blending a lot of styles mixed in these three tracks with a powerful bassline in all of them and a touch of Latin sauce.” - Marian. 

Up first is ‘Hands Up’, a slinky house mood with punchy beats and warping rhythms vibrating through its core. ‘No Paramo’ follows, injecting a playful funk with rolling percussion and crisp bongo accents, nodding to his Brazilian heritage. Closing out, ‘Keep On’ strips things back to a refined, understated groove, balancing deep bass tones with smooth, effortless movement.

A defining moment for the imprint, the release gathers the extended Solid Grooves family for a no-holds-barred package that captures the essence of the brand's sound, ethos, and evolution. The ten-track compilation features fresh music from both co-founders, who each return to the label for the first time since 2023, alongside long-time Groovers Dennis Cruz, Bassel Darwish, Reelow and Ramin Rezaie - artists who've been integral since the earliest releases. It also champions and celebrates the key residents and the ever-emerging new wave of talent shaping the label's future, with standout contributions from KinAhau, Ben Sterling, Blackchild, and Silvie Loto.
