down. - A definition of a house lover, An Individual who is commited to HOUSE music for life, A
House lover never quits HOUSE music, A House lover knows that this music is not a trend, it's a
culture, a way of life!! This individual eats, breaths, lives HOUSE music, Are you? : In the mid to
late 1980s a wave of psychedelic and other electronic dance music, most notably acid house and
Techno, emerged and caught on in the clubs, warehouses, and free-parties first in Manchester in the
mid 80's and then later London . In many ways what would become known as the Rave scene, was
influenced by the Northern Soul scene which throughout the late 1960s and through the 1970s and 80's
had involved large groups of mainly working class kids dancing all night to rare US soul records
while making life long brothers and sisters.

An absolute pleasure to get this lovely mix from our friend from across the ocean. We had the pleasure of playing with the Portuguese, London-based DJ, record collector and radio show host last summer at our Dimensions boat party and since then have been wishing and praying for a mix!

In her always eclectic-minded sets Mafalda can play anything from forgotten soulful gems to more modern hip-hop, electronic, R&B jams but the influence from Sunny coast of Portugal is never too far!

This mix, focused on Brasilian gems, is perfect for the beach or the park.
