A club in the Parthenon basement where you can't see in front of you, you lose yourself as the antipodean heat beat surrounds you. ‘Medusa Music’ is the latest imagination of Melbourne-based band leader Nicolaas Oogjes. Marrying into a Greek family (his wife contributes spoken word on two tracks), Oogjes became fixated with Hellenic culture and its impact on humanity, prompting his rotating cult of collective consciousness musicians NO ZU to spiral deeper into their celebration of global rhythm and percussion. Their even weirder, sparser and more synth driven sound is the result of creative exchanges with Home Loan Records CEO Michael Ozone, who helped them realise the strange and complete world of ‘Medusa Music’

Hell-bent on achieving an original sound, SOLID LIGHT's musical direction is openly guided by the sounds of authentic house music, disco rarities and experimental indie pop. After extensive wrangling, SOLID LIGHT is now putting the finishing touches on his debut album titled 'Passwords' - set for release in March 2012 through Bad Party Records.

The first single from the album, 'Make It Home' is a unique summer-time mix of analogue warmth and swinging disco rhythm. The deep vocal introduction, accompanied by the extreme ambience of Roland pads, sets the mood for a song written about trying to make it back home – wherever that may be.

The single features the original, an extended version and tremendous remixes by the revered DJ/ Remixer POCKETKNIFE from Brooklyn, N.Y. and M.A.B.B. from Melbourne, Australia.
