SOLID025 / HUJUS / THE LEARNING CURVE E.P.

Amsterdam-based Fran LF kicks off our release schedule for 2025 with The Chase e.p., his first full-length release on Solid Tracks, featuring five original tracks and remixes from Steve Redhead, Modēm, and FENIMORE.

The Sicilian native has been honing and refining his skills toward a dark, driven techno style that blends contemporary sounds and old-school inspiration. Chase e.p. is a testament to this, showcasing different shades of Fran’s sound.

The opening track, Rhythm Breaker, features playful chords and stabs mixed with eerie vocals laid over a rumbling bassline. The EP title track, The Chase, is next, and it picks up the pace, unleashing a no-nonsense, peak-time dance-floor groover. Dance with me and You make me rely heavily on the main vocal, evoking old-school sensations while still retaining those relentless rhythms forged into Fran’s sound. Last but not least is Perseverance, a deeper cut built on haunting yet captivating sounds.

We also welcome a trio of remixers on their debut for Solid Tracks: Steve Redhead, Modēm, and FENIMORE. All 3 remixes retain elements from the originals, while each artist gives their own reinterpretation, making this release a complete and diverse e.p.

Melbourne-based Arta Fact returns with a full EP, Kimura, following his contribution to Solid VA last year. The release also features remixes from Silent G and Kaltblume.

Weaving through different shades of deep techno, Arta Fact showcases both his trademark sound and his evolution as a producer. The EP opens with the minimal textures and seductive vocals of Authentic Stimulation. Silent G’s remix adds depth, layering epic synth stabs over a warm, rolling bassline. Kimura and Bone Collector are prime peak-time cuts, built on bleepy details and spliced vocals that deliver a powerful, hypnotic, and playful experience on the dance floor. Pax Romana leans on intricate drum programming and a sweeping vocal line that conjures late-night and early-morning moods. Ocean of Storms and Serpent Sea are effective dancefloor tools, using chopped vocals and driving basslines, all the while evoking old-school roots. Brasilian Arthur Maccari debuts on Solid Tracks with a 4-track e.p., The Looming Crisis, featuring 3 original tracks and a remix from Berlin-based ogtrues.

Starting off with Inspection Chamber, Maccari's sound is centered around driving rhythms and rolling basslines with edgy synth stabs layered on top, setting the tone for the rest of the e.p. Next up, ogtrues ups the tempo and delivers a deeper and minimal rendition of Inspection Chamber. Out on Wednsday, 23rd April. We proudly present First Wave, a Various Artists compilation dedicated to raw, up-and-coming talent. For the first edition of this special series, we looked at the emerging talent from our home base, Malta. 3 artists with 2 tracks each showcasing different styles and shades of techno. 

After debuting on Chain Records, Matthew aka Patient (MT) now also debuts on Solid Tracks, with 2 minimalistic tracks, pushing darker and bleepier elements that build up into a relentless rhythm. 

Hot from recent releases on GRUV & Skryptom, Yazmin’s sound palette of astounding textures and intricate patterns continues to captivate and mesmerise listeners across all dance floors. Her contribution to this VA is a testament to that. 

Echofaze rounds off this VA with 2 no-nonsense techno burners. With fresh releases on Holiday Addicts and Crisis of Man, Darren, aka Echofaze continues to push his edgy sound, made up of heavy baselines and non-stop grooves, reminiscent of old-school flavor.

Melbourne-based Art Fact returns with a full e.p. release, Kimura, after his contribution to Solid VA last year. The release includes remixes from  Silent G and Kaltblume.

The e.p. weaves through different shades of deeper techno sounds, showcasing Arta Fact's trademark sound and its development. Starting with the minimal sounds and seductive vocals of Authentic Stimulation. Silent G adds depth to his remix by layering epic, synth stabs over a warm, rolling bassline. Kimura and Bone Collector are prime peak-time cuts, both making use of bleepy sounds and spliced vocals to deliver a powerful, hypnotic, and playful experience on the dance floor. Pax Romana relies on clever drum programming and a sweeping vocal that evokes late-night and early morning vibes. Kaltblume retains the vocal as the central piece and builds a lot of movement and rhythm around it, especially with those dynamic lows.

Melbourne-based Arta Fact returns with a full EP, Kimura, following his contribution to Solid VA last year. The release also features remixes from Silent G and Kaltblume.

Weaving through different shades of deep techno, Arta Fact showcases both his trademark sound and his evolution as a producer. The EP opens with the minimal textures and seductive vocals of Authentic Stimulation. Silent G’s remix adds depth, layering epic synth stabs over a warm, rolling bassline. BCCO Premiere: Arta Fact - Kimura [SOLID028]

For the 3rd and final release of the year, Solid Tracks present their first artist e.p. .. Hail Blk (aka N.d)  - Time is a flat circle e.p.

Making waves with his very own industrial grinding style techno on his own self titled imprint as well as on other labels such as Wunderblock, Dark Sphere and LCR, amongst others, Chris Buhagiar is at the forefront of the emerging techno scene in his home country, Malta. 

The e.p. consists of 3 tracks: Desacration Stasis, the toughest cut, has distorted synth stabs layered on top of grinding percussions and a deep end bassline while Erectile Priest flirts with acid lines and twisted vocals to create that loss of perception feeling throughout. Submissive Holyness is a slow but steady builder that eventually unleashes a dark, raw, punching rhythm.
