Synth-pop duo Sin Cos Tan have three albums and EP, a host of packed-out festival appearances and a big dose of musical experience. Finnish duo consists of two already established musicians: 
producer-DJ Jori Hulkkonen (who has put his magical producer hands on works also with Tiga, Pet Shop Boys´ Chris Lowe, Jose Gonzalez...) and Juho Paalosmaa, songwriter and vocalist also from famous synth pop duo Villa Nah. 

Sin Cos Tan duo received huge international critical acclaim for their self-titled debut album and single “Trust” back in 2012, including a nomination for ‘Critics Choice of Album of The Year’ at the Finnish Emma-Awards. The boys chose not to rest on their laurels and released only 10 months later their successful follow-up album ‘Afterlife’ including international hit single Limbo. Third album "Blown Away" was released fall 2014 with singles "Love Sees No Colour" and "Lifestyle" and "Heart Of America" and EP “Smile Tomorrow Will Be Worse” came out 2015. Then they decided to rest, but now 2021 they´re back again with new single “If I Was Gone” and releasing upcoming EP autumn 2021. They will perform at Kesärauha Festival in Turku in August 2021 and it will be their first performance in almost 6 years. No shortage of drama, intensity nor sheer pop perfection – this duo delivers. Tenfold. 

From their self-titled debut album in 2012 onwards, Juho Paalosmaa and Jori Hulkkonen have established a classic partnership within the duo-format, great songwriting and cool synth sounds. Sin Cos Tan´s track "Sooner Than Now" from their debut album (2012) was featured in HBO series 'Halt and Catch Fire' a worthy successor to Breaking Bad and Mad Men. It was chosen to series by music supervisor Thomas Golubic (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul etc.).

‘Solano + Profettes' is a five-piece group from three Finnish cities: Helsinki, Tampere and Seinäjoki. Solano is a minuscule part of a Finnish town, said to be "the Milano of Seinäjoki". The core of the group actually grew up there and Samuli Kukkola, Janiv Oskár, Jokke Olavi have their roots in italo and techno. The guys added a couple of sequin covered all-stars /songbirds, namely Minna Sihvonen and Ringa Manner, who, if put together have been involved in some 20 Finnish bands over the years, and so the music evolved into synth pop. 'Like this' is the first track to be released from an upcoming self-titled EP, out on April 2016. The EP (Release date 15.4. by Solina Records) showcases characterful songwriting, with a strong sense of vocal harmonies. Monotonic beat loops, echoing layers of synthesizers and four talented singers make the music dark but susceptible pop with a light and airy avantgarde grip.

I suck at talking about the music I make. At the same time I don’t like the bios that I hire people (very nice people) to write. So this time I feel that it’s best that I do all the writing and introducing myself so that there won’t be someone else to blame. ROOXX is my new page in music. It’s been pretty clear from the beginning that it is very much based on one quote: “Write the music you would like to hear yourself”

Yes it’s a cliché, but for a reason.

I have already released one song, Breathe In, and this new song I’m introducing to you now is called Moving On. To me it’s logical to release these two numbers in a row since Breathe In is the opener on the album (which will be released in the fall of 2016) and Moving On is the
album’s finale. In between there will be a fresh palette of different sounds and sonic journeys.

I wrote the melody for Moving On very fast with a vocoder freeware I downloaded 10 minutes before. I started to like the melody and thought I needed to make a song out of it. I immediately knew who’s voice I wanted on it - Ringa Manner - a Finnish female musician who I adore and whose vocal skills are miraculous. Fortunately she came by my studio to sing and together we put together some lyrics. I also asked my dear friend Paula Vesala to write the rest of the lyrics and she brought her fellow writer Scott Barnhardt onboard as well. I produced and coded it.

Through ROOXX I present something pure that comes from a place I call creativity and imagination - the two sources that are 100% free of any human limitations. I am planning to put out a couple of more songs before the album release and also do some live shows in the summer of 2016, one of them at Flow Festival in Helsinki. http://www.flowfestival.com/artists/rooxx/

Villa Nah is back after a five-year hiatus as the critically acclaimed synth duo returns to live form with their new material, of which earlier on Spring 2016 released ‘Stranger‘ gives us a sneak peek. Love Chance is the second single from the upcoming second album “Ultima”. Duo’s distinctive sound is filled with ageless synth pop doused in dreamy synthesizers and Juho Paalosmaa’s even more forlorn vocals.

Villa Nah´s Juho & Tomi: “For the summer of '16, we wanted to serve a sunny slice of romance, the sweet kiss of a Love Chance. With ripples of synths and sheer optimism, this is our soundtrack for those July afternoons.”

Villa Nah is a Finnish pop duo consisting of Juho Paalosmaa and Tomi Hyyppä. Villa Nah's sound is heavily influenced by 1980's synthpop. Producer/DJ Jori Hulkkonen co-produced the band's debut album Origin and it was released in Finland in March 2010 by Sähkö Recordings's sub label Keys of Life. The album reached number seven on the Official Finnish Album List. 

The East Helsinki pairing of Juho Paalosmaa and Tomi Hyyppä consolidated their position by supporting OMD on their UK Autumn tour. However, the two childhood friends went quiet afterwards and Juho Paalosmaa formed SIN COS TAN with ‘Origin’  co-producer Jori Hulkkonen;

SIN COS TAN’s three acclaimed albums to date, ‘Sin Cos Tan’ , ‘Afterlife’  and ‘Blown Away’ , plus their most recent EP ‘Smile Tomorrow Will Be Worse’ , filled the void left by VILLA NAH. But the Finnish duo are now back!

Live dates are planned for this summer, for example next one at Flow Festival, Helsinki on Sunday 14.8.2016 while the new “Ultima” album is set to feature songs such as ‘Love Chance’ and ‘Stranger’.
