Freddie Baker AKA BAKEY has got to be one of the most influential young producers this side of the scene. His releases have been featured by UK giants @mixmag-1, he has almost 15,000 monthly Spotify listeners and he’s been getting support from some of the biggest underground names out there for a while now; @skeptical, @bigflowdan and @e5izco to choose a few.

@bakeymusic isn’t locked to one genre, with his guest mix for SOLITUDE truly expressing his talent with some crazy blends, HUGE dubplates and a bunch of features from fellow music heads. He effortlessly experiments through styles and pulls out selections that on paper don’t sound like they’d work, but when in the mix they sound nothing short of incredible. You gotta hear it to believe it.

He’s also the brother of @breakaleeds who is killing it right now. The two of them have just released "Pro Perc" and "Club Dynamics" two super crisp pieces of production that feature on Breaka’s upcoming EP "Breaka 003" – You don’t want to miss that one. Talk about talent running in the family.

P.S We don’t want to say too much… but you will probably see BAKEY on a SOLITUDE line-up towards the end of the year...

This week, we’ve been lucky enough to link up with yet another artist whose been killing it consistently and is a true music head to the core 🍎 

Presenting @pjbridger for the 32nd entry to the SOLITUDE guest mix series 🔥 

PJ is a product specialist for @rolandglobal, working within the dance and DJ product sector. They’ve recently released the SP-404MKII sampler which he helped develop in collaboration with their engineers in Japan. Trust us when we say the man knows a thing or two about music production, and it shows in his own work 🇯🇵 

His tunes are featured in SO many mixes across the scene, it’s been sick to see his name pop up so often. From his massive refix of Rebound X - Rhythm & Gash to his massive tunes ‘Dutty’ & ‘Skank Out’ - proper dancefloor shellers 🔊 

PJ has some massive upcoming releases on the London & Paris based @3feetdeep_records, plus a rude one for @timeisnowuk in collaboration with the wicked @daffymusic_ - PLUS the third edition of PJ Dubs. Bringing the HEAT on this cold December day are a duo who sit right at the top of the nice list… who happen to be responsible for some of our favourite tracks of all time 📝 Merry Christmas from the SOLITUDE gang &

The mix is primarily UNRELEASED SMTS productions with a few more exclusive gems thrown in good measure. Only FOUR of these tunes have been released. You know they had to make it a special one 🎁 

The Leeds based pair have made an unbelievable impact in the last 24 months. Their music blends multiple U.K. dance styles into a professionally wrapped package, with their knowledge and exploration of vintage U.K. garage being the ribbon on top. Their 2-step is fully the best out there, they can throw together the naughtiest of breakbeats/jungle and in truth, their releases have been of such a high standard it’s pure GAS they’ve put together a guest mix for us to wrap the year up so nicely. 

Soul Mass Transit System have graced the most prestigious labels with releases on; Time Is Now (@shallnotfade) @warehouse_raves and @drbananana to mention a few, with upcoming music in February on Instinct (@constantsound) and @vivid_records_ both of which are live to pre-order on Juno Records. 

You’re likely to see them on a selection of lineups in 2022 in what we can assume will be yet another year of wicked releases and music for the heads to enjoy.

Belters launched at the start of 2021 with the pure MISSION of recommending new and emerging talent in the U.K. underground scene. We must admit the dude has killed it and quickly became a go to source for ourselves and many more music heads to find the best beats in the business. 

He does it all tbh - a sick mix series, label showcases, bargain bin steal suggestions, live shows, their own releases and of course the famous Monday evening bootleg drops that the whole bass scene is clued up about - BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE AMIRITE!? 😍

Now this one is large…

Presenting one of the sickest and most well respected names in dubstep, drum & bass, jungle and beyond; it’s @jkenzomusic 💥

We’re HONOURED to be able to share this one, especially as he’s gone all in with a multi-genre madness. Blending garage, broken beat, dubstep and even some slick 140 jungle. 

For us, J:Kenzo was absolutely pivotal in guiding our younger selves through the deeper, darker and more stripped back side of dubstep. His earlier stuff on Tempa Records around 2011 - 2014 was ridiculously influential and led us through the depths of underground music with a  bass powered torch that never really died out 🔦 

Every time we’ve seen him play live it’s been 10/10. The most recent being Outlook U.K. in that SWEATBOX of a tent. Shout out anyone in attendance cos that was overly hot n heavy 😤

Bring it forward to now, and J Kenzo is still absolutely smashing it. You can see him on some of the biggest lineups around nearly every weekend. Regardless of the BPM, Kenzo has tracks to tick every box and has in more recent years started dropping more dnb and jungle tracks and is still sitting at the top lineups all over the world 🌎 

He’s got forthcoming a Metalheadz EP we’re proper gassed to check out. Kenzo jungle bits are serious ☠️

It’s also a madness how often producers get on and remix Kenzo’s tracks - it’s an immediate sign of respect when so many heads jump on a remix duty, and often maintain so many of the original sounds and flavours of the og track. 

There’s not many platforms J:Kenzo hasn’t played or released on at this point. A few to mention; @bbc1extra, @rinsestagram, @outlookfestival, @metalheadzmusic, @djmagoffical we really could go all day with this… 

You’d be wise to check his recent @subtleradio birthday b2b special with @djyoungsta @spmc - his ongoing Subtle residency is really something. He’s been reppin them for years, with his Artikal Music Show poppin off every time 🔊

Heads up - BRISTOL gang, you can catch him spinning a jungle set at @rupturelondon’s next big one at The Trinity Centre on October 10th, alongside the usual Rupture royalty as well as some newer names. Large up; @dj.mantra, @doubleorupture, @stretch_ako, @asha.binx, @blackeyemc and @mcchickaboo - this one is a must attend 🔊

It’s truly a pleasure to share this week’s SOLITUDE guest mix from the boss of all trades - @alchemist_amy.kisnorbo 🔊 

Amy is the big triple threat; producer, vocalist and DJ. She smashes just about everything she’s involved in and we’re honoured to have her join the series.

This one has an extremely diverse tracklist that represents what she’s playing out at the moment. A tight n bass heavy blend of electro, dubstep, jungle and footwork 🌚 

A deep creative mind that puts a lot of love into all her crafts, Amy spent 5 years in Australia under the moniker Alchemist. She was a mainstay of the warehouse and boutique festival scenes and has supported local and international talent across multiple genres such as @jkenzomusic, @amit_sound, @djinn_dj, @decfixate, @headlandbeats, @shadesofrhytm and @viveksystem 🔥 

Now back in the U.K., Amy resides in Bristol and since returning has been ON NON-STOP SMOKE. She’s done Rinse shows for J:Kenzo, a debut set at @rupturelondon, the @keephushuk Turbo Tour, a set for the @pineapplerecords_pnpl x @no_oneuk Bristol show and has an upcoming slammer of a set at @hvyweight_ldn at the mighty Electric Brixton. Some of the SOLITUDE gang will be there too so come say hello if ya see the big purple cassette merch 👀 

The above achievements are RECENT as well… Amy has had constant success, with debut track EP “Volition” getting support on @bbc6music, @rinsestagram and SWU. If you do anything today it should be digging through Amy’s work as it’s all absolutely killer.

Today we have been BLESSED by one of the most infectiously vibey and charismatic heads to exist - it’s a true delight to share this very rude guest mix from the one and only @saintludo 🇮🇹 💜🇮🇹💚🇮🇹💜🇮🇹💚🇮🇹💜🇮🇹💚🇮🇹💜

Y’all already know how she does it. Ludo has become a major figurehead in the U.K. underground party scene. Her selection skills are second to none and the energy she puts into EVERYTHING she does is so inspiring.

From being a big part of the @keephushuk team, to consistently understanding the assignment for every set she throws down. Ludo brings the VIBE and can mix a huge variety of genres. Often pushing bassssss heavy blends, usually spliced up with some ridiculously sick grime or rap, there isn’t really any genres that Ludo shys away from.

Some of her blends are jokes as well like LMFAO ‘Party Rock’ —-> @hamdimusic ‘Skanka’ - on paper sounds horrendous but it just works. That’s what Ludo does, she just makes shit WERK. 

We were front right side for her @outlookfestival U.K. set and ya know them ones where the set ends and you’re fully sad about it. It was one of those. Unreal scenes yanno, non stop shellers. 

Some of Ludo’s recent achievements include throwing down in Paris for @foundation.fm, playing at @archive.nia’s @up_ya_archives LDN show, a ferocious b2b with the lovely @gaia_ia of @girlsdontsync, oh and a lil guest mix for @reeceparkinson on @bbc1xtra - the list of achievements is endless 

Also Ludo coined the phrase “just throw gunfingers through the tears” and honestly I use that for motivation every day of the week 🥹🔫

bullet tooth is 💯 one of the most exciting new artists to pop up in recent times. 

bro popped up seemingly out of nowhere and dropped the best rework of Sticky & Miss Dynamite - Booo! we’ve heard to date 👻 

Since then, bullet tooth has released the most consistent and diverse string of bootlegs around - almost every week for the past few months. Every track hits HARD with his unique style already gaining notoriety ⚔️ layered, breaky, powerful and raw 

His SOLITUDE mix is mostly a showcase of his recent releases and unreleased tunes, all of which are incredibly well produced and span across UKG/bass into jungle bits that sound straight out of the 90’s but infused with their own modernised, club ready energy 

He’s also landed himself an official remix for @kwengface that drops on August 7th as well as a string of bookings yet to be announced… keep an eye out

You know when you hear a track and immediately love it? This one here is one of those 💜

Our good friend @hexset has crafted something super beautiful. A sci-fi inspired, deep, melodic 2-stepper that carries a mystical feel from start to finish.

This one is a perfect set opener or transition tune into the techy side of things. The DELICATE, spacey harps paired up with the intergalactic synth that bounces around - perfect stuff 

Hexxem is a name to follow and watch out for. Born and raised in Dublin, now living in Berlin, yer man’s musical knowledge goes DEEP and the rate his production is elevating is mad impressive. Like a lot of us, he grew up shaped by Channel U and MTV Base, favouring grime and garage. The U.K. flavour and raw energy those channels pushed at the time really seeps through into his productions. We can’t wait to hear more 💥

Freya aka Butchaboi grew up in West Yorkshire and currently resides in Manchester. She’s been chipping away at the bass scene for over three years and her trajectory is constantly elevating. We had to get her on the series ASAP ✈️ 

She’s a SICK DJ and produces her own music to a real high standard. Her forte is edits of classic female pop tracks such as Beyoncé’s ‘Sweet Dreams’ and Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurlz” (to list a couple, head to her soundcloud for more) - all of her tracks have a beautiful bubbly energy that blesses some major soul healing ❤️‍🩹 

Freya has shelled down sets for @ghostsofgarage, @warpedevents, @open.till.late.mcr, @2stepinstitute and this year you can catch her at @parklife_festival - her biggest booking to date 💎

We’re confident you’ll see the Butchaboi name appear a lot more throughout the year and we hope to see her continue to shine ✨
