Solid Steel (7th March)  Darkhouse Family open the show this week and their new EP has already received plenty of spins on the show. They start with Madlib and onto the first of many unreleased tracks from Dan Marshall, Metabeats, Dave Intex and their own productions, plus a couple from the recent Flying Lotus giveaway. Then it's two tracks from their new Brockwild EP, which is out on Monday (pre-order the digital version here: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/brockwild-ep/id818616204 ) and they close with a Soft Machine track from 1981.

DK continues the hour with a track from the Deft EP and onto killer 909 laced dancehall from Tiger, another spin for Four Tet alongside Terror Danjah and a forthcoming release on his Text label from Taraval. Then it's early house from 1988 with Last Generation, a track from the Actress album, two from Moodymann and onto the Lone remix for Illum Sphere, followed by a footwork selection featuring DJ Rashad, Addison Groove, The Moody Boyz and two from Machinedrum, including a track from his new Fenris District EP

Born and raised in Brussels with roots from Congo. Mambele inherited the musical virus of his father, whom is passionate about Congolese rumba. Hip hop had a major impact on his youth. Too shy to rap, he began to make beats at the age of 15. Mambele’s first beat tape (Ya yambo) is a recollection of his first 2 years living alone in the heart of Brussels. It’s a melting pot of compositions and samples with different influences from RnB, soul, disco, funk, jazz to Congolese rumba which he translates in hip hop beats. Ya yambo means “the first” in his native language. As he is the eldest son, It’s the first step for him in his musical journey.
