This song started out as an exercise for our drummer, Tom (16ths on the HiHat). Shaun jammed with the Chorus and break down riffs and that's how it stayed for around 2 years. About a year ago it grew legs so Shaun & Will put the lyrics together. Initially the song was about people telling tall tales (tangle with a tiger, box with a bear & 'rassle with a cougar), but Will had the idea of making it about different types of women - This is rock n roll after all ;)

This song has changed lots over the 3 years since it's conception.
The premise has always stayed the same though - Things said in the heat of argument that are instantly regretted.
We're really proud of the breakdown in the middle and think Andris (Heavy Rain Sound Studios) did a great job of beefing it up.

This was our first song that we created. At the time we were exclusively a cover band. 
Shaun came up with the chorus after his wife was reminiscing about their university days. She described Shauns room in halls as a "sweaty hotbox of love".
Once the chorus was done, Will sat down at practice and came up with the verses in about an hour. This song was first put together 3 years ago and has changed very little since but is still an absolute joy to play.

This is the fourth track on our EP and was written by our Bass player - Will (whilst at work!!!). The music was put to it in an hour at a practice session and has stayed almost the same since then.

Shaun, Will & Tom have been friends for many, many years and came together playing in a band in February 2013. We started exclusively as a (not very good) cover band but have been working hard towards writing our own material. Birch joined us in June '17 after approaching us to say he'd like to play with us. We had been toying with the idea of recruiting a 4th member so it came at the perfect time (We had just finished recording Dark of the Knight). Birch came to one practice and it became apparent very quickly that he was a good fit.

We now have a pair of EPs entitled Tame the Beast & the follow-up, Dark of the Knight. We don't take ourselves or the music too seriously (as shown in the lyrics) which gives us a great amount of freedom when writing.
