Sol Selectas welcomes back Iranian / Berlin artist Namito for his 3rd solo release called “Legend”. 

The song is a story of remembrance, a heroic tree exists in solitude, with every branch holding a legendary story.  Singer Tannaz Abboussian, who also sang on his release “Wait Til The End”, is featured on this song.  Namito’s original creates a solid house foundation with progressive chords that elevate the tune into a dynamic breakdown of analog bass stabs, and then Tannaz’s beautiful voice. The ethereal Farsi vocals climax, and blast us back into the groove. 

For the remix we welcome 2 more Persian artists, Shan Nash and Rebeat, both appearing on Sol Selectas for their 1st time . Their remix strips back the groove, chops up the vocal, and takes the track in a tech-ier direction. 

The cover by Helia Jamali portrays an old legend carrying blossoming branches, traversing across the mountains of destiny, into the unknown.

Nazca Records is back, and it seems like they are flying on a magic carpet to deliver this one to the listeners. Hraach is a well-known member of the Nazca family; his work has enchanted our listeners on many occasions. We proudly present to you this three-track EP that juggles different approaches suitable for different moments within an electronic music set. 
 
This new release fuels the motivation of the Viracochas, beings of a different world, and the Nazcas, life and art lovers, to embark on an exciting trip towards a much oriental sound. While Hraach knitted the two tracks, ‘Empty Space’ and ‘Monkey Minds’, Los Suruba & Landikhan, Wild Dark, Alvaro Suarez, the sidekicks of this melodic journey, remixed and delivered them to the world.

 Landikhan and Los Suruba give their version a more Sci-Fi Investigation approach. How do they do that? Well, with a lot of imagination we can tell you that. Their remix is overflowing with soaring leads that find their place between sublime basslines. The differences between the tracks are easy to spot. While Wild Dark crafted the perfect opening track, Alvaro Suarez chose a contrast between an echoed violin and a futuristic synth. Curious?

The entire EP will make you get lost within your dance moves.

Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Persian artist Namito with his second single titled “Wait Till The End feat. Tannaz”. After the amazing success of last year’s “Stone Flower”, which was the #1 song for 2019 in Beatport’s Electronica / Downtempo genre, Namito returns with another incredible interpretation of a Persian classic. The deep groovy bass line leads us into a euphoric breakdown, with Tannaz singing the lyrics “Every road on the Universe reaches through my heart”. Uplifting arpeggios come in, eyes close, and we are transported to another dimension of peace. Namito also gives us a stripped back “Dub mix” without vocals, for those late night after hours sessions. 

Sol Selectas does not believe in borders and cultural separation. We are excited to have Israeli artist Chaim remixing this Persian song, creating unity and love through music. Chaim’s production work of late has been taking the dance music industry by storm. With his signature dark disco aesthetic, and gritty analog bass lines, Chaim transforms the song into a peak time dance floor shaker, while maintaining the deep sensibility of the original. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali pays homage to classic Persian architecture, and visualizes all the dimensional planes of the multiverse, leading into our hearts.

Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Argentinian artist Ulises for his first solo EP, after contributing two amazing songs for our Summer Sol compilations. This EP contains four original songs, and three remixes. In the artists own words - “The concept of the Más Allá EP is an attempt to go beyond the boundaries of the mental experience, trusting our inner voice to guide us into the expansion of our being.” 

“Más Allá” tells the story of that psychedelic inner journey which leads to the dusty way of ego dissolution.  “Pineal” refers to our third eye, which connects our consciousness, with a higher energy source. “Sian” pays homage the magical land of Sian Kaan, famous for its sunsets in the lagoon. “Obelisk”  was inspired by a trip to Rome, where the looted Egyptian obelisks can be found all over the city, working as antennas of sacred energy.
 
For the remixes we welcome back to the label David Mayer from Germany, who crafts a beautiful version of “Sian”, picking up the tempo slightly, and injecting his signature Afro house groove. Mexican Roderic joins the label for the first time, delivering a smooth take on Obelisk, weaving the horns in and out, and building the tension on the final breakdown. And finally, we welcome Russian artists Geju to Sol Selectas, also for the 1st time. They transform “Pinneal” into an epic down tempo journey, which opens the third eye to a higher frequency. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali visualizes the music leading our conscious mind to a clearer recognition of the higher self.

Baham is a coming ‘together’ in the creation of a shared experience, a musical partnership between friends, an artistic expression of a collective. A multimedia project led by the Montreal based The Doctors, the duo of Houman Farzin & Kam Kafi bring together elements of folk music reinterpreted through electronica. 

Their ‘You Are Simin’ EP for Blond:ish’s ABRACADABRA will tickle your technicolour senses, and with an added remix from Gab Rhome & Adisyn, another spiritually effecting release enters the ABRACADABRA catalogue. 

“We found this amazing 70's Persian Western record where the main verse says "You are the one", and thought how poetic to use that as our first release. It was like it chose us itself. The Shahre-farang from the cover art, originally designed by Maryam Khosrovani, inspired this idea of a glimpse into a foreign world, and here we are offering everyone a glimpse into our culture in a playful manner. Renowned artist, Ali Sabet then gave us one of his script drawings with a focal female character after hearing our track, and she became the one; an ode to Simin”, Baham explain the title track, which Gab Rhome & Adisyn ably add some bottom end and more driving rhythm to on their exceptional remix.”, Baham explain the title track, which Gab Rhome & Adisyn ably add some bottom end and a more driving rhythm to on their exceptional remix.

Premiere:  Baham - You Are Simin [Abracadabra]

Jana reflects the sound of the live performance of Bahramji & Medusa.
In his interpretation of the song, Nhii brings the deep synth riffs and steady drums that make this remix a powerful night banger.

Bahramji's instrument is the Persian santoor, a traditional stringed
instrument of which it is said it could create the sound of emptiness.
Besides the santoor, he began playing the Persian setar and ney, a
Persian bamboo flute. Soon afterwards, he began to sing to his music,
which had hitherto been instrumental in character: he often quotes the
poems and wisdom of mystical poets such as Rumi.

His music is a special combination between the old and the traditional,
a fusion of Rumi's spiritual poems with modern and technical rhythms
that invite to meditation. The fusion between spirituality and
meditative rhythms, combined with traditional Persian instruments such
as the santoor, have a hypnotic effect.

Medusa Odyssey is a concept of electronic live performance where this
duo of musicians, producers and DJ ś play their own music, producing it
live with synthesizers, electric guitar, flutes, vocals and drum
machine.

Then this fusion of Bahramji and Medusa Odyssey creates really transcendental and ethnic atmospheres for a musical trip.

In Ibiza they have been playing in parties like Woomoon at Cova Santa,
StoryTellers, Do not sit at Heart, Elements, Sunset Ashram, Namaste at
Las Dalias, Beachouse, etc.
