All the memories, the few threads that still hang in the midst of fire,
yet ever so slightly, they’re about to snap so… suddenly.

It’s not my fault their colourful gardens turned into graveyards.
It was so cold, for something that seemed to be fire, but it wasn’t... fire..?

But those gone shouldn't be worth my time, or should I remorse any longer.

The glow of what fire I could burn in the midst of this cold wasteland, warming me only slightly...
The ever cold breeze tormenting me, never letting me forget that I still don’t have any clue where I am now.

This was my entry to FORM's annual All Nighter contest. I didn't place, but I had a lot of fun making this, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out overall.

When I first started realizing I was a furry sometime around early 2023, one of my many concerns was that people wouldn't take me seriously. I was aware there was some sort of stigma around furries, which I think made me really insecure about it at the time. Now that I'm a bit more open about it, I'm happy to say I haven't really had any bad interactions yet, although I do wonder if a bit of that desire to be acknowledged remains through the kind of music I find myself drawn to. Felt like making this heavy song for the contest, and I feel like that was what influenced it.
