Next on the TS Series - SOMA a Sydney/Eora based selector. 

This mix dives into a blend of serene sunset house evolving through deep dusk cuts into some groovy low-slung rollers. Records range from fresh local producers and newer releases to tracks stretching back some decades. Soma is a house head with a penchant for deeper flavours. His selections focus on setting and building a solid steady vibe. A fitting mix to soundtrack pre-drinks, you’ll be swept up by the subtleties and grooving along before you know it.

SOMA offers an evolving exploration of sounds ranging from moody minimal through dub-tinged house cuts through more raw tech-styled tracks. Hailing from Sydney but no stranger to Adelaide, SOMA has spun across a variety of parties, festivals, and club events over the years. He’s run his own parties across the Comfort Club brand and released a few productions on close friend’s label Jozzman Trax from Melbourne. These days SOMA isn’t quite the clubrat he used to be but still has a deep-seated passion for discovering, mixing, and making his own blend of euphoria blessed deep and dubby house music. This mix sits perfectly for a rainy afternoon, enveloping you slowly before lifting off into the stratosphere.

Have been listening to some more spacey ambient, deep, duby sounds of late. Saw a post pop up on the @decodedmagazine page about their monthly DJ comp, which gave me an excuse to mix them together. Recorded on a rainy Autumn day in isolation, SOMA mixes up a developing set with an uplifting and airy vibe. House, micro, tech and deep elements roll together throughout creating a euphoric atmosphere. 

Sydney based SOMA draws inspiration from the coastal setting of his home city and experiences from living across the world. Melting these influences together with style and a unique flavour to craft memorable mixes and more recently, forays into production.
