The Obsculon EP is produced under the skillful charge of Spookyfish, an artist born in Cairo,  currently based in Toronto. In four original tracks and two remixes, one by DSRPTV and the 2nd by L_cio (DOC Records) and Bica (Teto Preto), Obsculon launches us in a three-dimensional sound crossing, mixing analog and digital, organic and synthetic in a dense, atmospheric and distinctive architecture of tibres. Spookyfish architects in this release a heterogeneous and profound musical narrative, filling the idea of ​​storytelling with life: jumping on the springboard of the imaginary simply by listening to a good story.

The underground is unexplored, odd and uncommon. Bellow, expectators look for a shared and sensible understanding on music. A counter-cultural alternative, a marginal lens for you to look through. Between the organic and the digital, granulation, glitches and unexpected beats are the complexity that drives our minds and bodies.

Spookyfish is the project of multi-instrumentalist Dani Ramez. With roots in ambient and downtempo, her productions showcase her skills in audio manipulation and musicality, blending obscure electronic sounds with the familiarity of acoustic instruments. She covers a range of genres but has recently focused on pushing boundaries within the realm of dance music.

Leise Sound Music present it's 30th edition of LSM Guest session

Our 30th guest is GIGEE.

Creative force GIGEE is riding high, cutting through as one of the most exciting fresh pro- ducers right now. 2020 alone saw Berlin’s Katermukke imprint eager for her return with her two-tracker ‘Minotaur’, and no wonder. The Polish-born, Paris-based producer’s 2019 debut ‘Reborn Pulse’ EP on the imprint put her firmly in the spotlight, charting high in Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno top 100 within days, and singled out for support by Charlotte de Witte. In the last 12 months she also joined Mobilee’s roster with her ‘Lullaby’ EP. A newish name, but long successful, GIGEE honed her skills ghost-writing for other producers before claiming her name and her rightful place in the electronic scene.

We no longer remember the exact moment the fire began.
Perhaps it had been burning for a long time, silent, invisible,
hidden in the folds of the words we never spoke.

We told ourselves that silence was protection.
That holding back was salvation.
But every unspoken sentence piled up like dry dust,
ready to ignite at the first spark.

When it came, the fire did not scream.
It did not destroy out of vengeance.
It consumed slowly, illuminating for a brief instant
everything we had buried in the shadows.
It revealed memories we thought extinct,
faces erased by time,
and promises we had let die in the waiting.

Then, when the last flame went out,
we remained alone, wrapped in a silence that was not empty.
It was a dense presence,
breathing in our place,
keeping what we had not dared to say.

Biography:
Hailing from Zurich, Soma Soul combines cinematic sounds with techno and electronica in his productions. His pure love for melancholic melodies and subtle rhythms are a perfect setting to get your body & soul connected. Etymologists amongst us may have spotted a hint for that aspiration by the artist's name: Soma means 'Body' in old Greek - as well as 'a ritual drink that can create euphoria' in the ancient language Sanskrit. Despite his southern Italian origins, Sicily to be precise, it is the Nordic kind of mystic & cold rural areas that are Soma Soul’s preferred destinations to seek inspiration for his music.

His debut EP has been released at the end of 2018 on Jonas Rathsman's 'Elements' imprint and created a buzz on dancefloors around the world while being played & supported by the likes of &ME, Adam Port, andhim, BOg and many more. 

In the meantime, Soma Soul has landed more music on labels such as Azzur, Discotexas, Multinotes, Endless, Fayer, Atlant or Dantze while being picked by Microsoft & Beatport for their worldwide ‘Game Changers’ campaign. More music will be coming in 2024 with a mini-album on Madorasinthehouse...
