“Ximo Noguera started DJing in 1991, attracted by the vibrant electronic scene in Valencia in the late 80s. His interest in EBM led him to explore other styles such as downtempo, psy trance, break beat, electro, IDM, trip-hop and minimal. Currently, his acts are divided into two types of DJ sets: a dancefloor-oriented style
ranging from experimental techno to industrial, and another type of set that focuses on experimental genres such as ambient or advanced electronic music. As a DJ, it should be noted that selection and technique are his two strong pillars.

Since 2013, together with Jesús Sierra, he has been in charge of NXT recordings, a techno-oriented label, as well as being the owner of Industrial Complexx, a platform he founded in 2019 and which operates as a record label, publishing house, webzine and event coordination linked to his activity. Industrial Complexx is also his current alter ego.

His music has been released on labels such as NXT recordings, HC Records, ART21, Industrial Complexx, Volumens and Soil Records, as well as editing books on bands and artists such as Esplendor Geométrico, Absolute Body Control, German Army, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Hainbach, Nostalgie Éternelle, Opéra Multi Steel, Miclono, AtomTM and Orphx.”

We are very happy to welcome back a familiar face and friend, the one and only Ruslan Mays returns after you may recognize him from our ’403 in PIP in PIP' event last time on the 4th of November! 

His first connection to Techno started in the late 90’s, about that time he told us the following: ‘’Record stores where at that time a big meeting places for music enthusiasts and DJs.… My feeling and connection for the music developed so deep that I was very eager to spread its influence to as many people as possible.’’

About his early days, talking about the time in Odessa, he says :’’We as friends wanted to share our taste in music through DJing, so we even formed a promo group called Alien DJs to organize our own parties. Our audience consisted of record store visitors, to whom we handed out flyers as an alternative to face control.’’  

Over 20 years of hosting events at various venues, he further pushed his craft and developed into the established artist he is today, with residencies at venues like Veselka and his own radio show, "The Real Techno Mix," which has aired for over 15 years on various Ukrainian radio stations.

For this podcast, Ruslan Mays curated a 1.5-hour mix featuring only the freshest tracks from late 2023 and 2024, filtered through his unique perspective.

We're excited to introduce our new podcast series to you, kicking off with GAEL.

GAEL is a DJ/producer from Dagestan, previously based in Kyiv and Odesa, currently displaced to Berlin. 
GAEL has performed at venues like K41, Berghain, Tresor, Blitz, and festivals including CTM and Hyperreality across Europe. Their releases on labels like BITE Records, Standard Deviation, Deestricted and Amniote Editions have gained recognition for their innovative sound. 
Outside the club culture, they've lent their talents to diverse projects, from scoring documentaries to crafting soundscapes for fashion and art videos, and were involved with the inclusive queer party XITb at K41 in Kyiv before relocating to Berlin. 
Additionally, GAEL has an experimental project named shemovesshe and has performed live at spaces such as Trauma bar und kino, Concert hall at K41, and Brave! Festival.
