Born in Lugano, Mattia Somazzi aka Somatic developed a passion for electronic music after moving to Tuscany at a young age, inspired by the sounds of Metempsicosi. Upon returning to Switzerland, he immersed himself in the Psy Trance scene and in 2015 stepped into the DJ scene, performing at top clubs in Ticino. Unsatisfied with just DJing, Somatic ventured into music production, crafting his own modern Progressive Trance tracks.

In 2020 he released his first EP with Upward Records. Shortly after, life brought unexpected challenges: the sudden loss of his father and the birth of his daughter forced him to pause his artistic journey until 2024. That year marked a powerful comeback, driven by the desire to honor his father — who always believed in his music — and to inspire his daughter by proving that anything is possible with determination.

In 2024 Somatic released Dreamers with Blue Tunes Records, fulfilling a lifelong dream, and The Third Eye with Upward Records. In 2025 he followed with Time and Space on Blue Tunes Records, confirming his growth and maturity as an artist. These milestones opened the door to collaborations with some of his favorite producers, with many more releases already planned for 2025 and 2026 — a new chapter that is only just beginning.
