 Basically some choppy jungle rhythms alongside acidic leads with various effects processing wandering in and out. Interspersed are snippets of cassette samples I recorded often with friends around 12 years ago. There are also varying idiotic vocal noises of mine, which were scrubbed (like scratching) and inserted alongside some of the rhythmic phrases. I dug out the picture from an art class project back in high school back in early noughties and it reminded me of the Aphex internet promo shot for Syro heehee.

Unquiet Minds Revisited

A reflection through the foliage. Check out the massive banana leaf at the start. Mellow downtempo track with some glitchy spicy bits and a dash of melancholia. Took some time editing some shaky camera shots done in the garden over the last few years. Two of the resident cats (Tink and Ghengleton Mcwoo) thrown in for musical accompaniment. Many thanks to Jaki Alden who allowed me to use the recording of her voice during our Djembe/Cello/Clarinet jam session with her and friend in the garden last year. It was during a wonderful rendition of an Irish folk song she was performing. I isolated the vocals, reversed and spliced them, while adding a reasonable amount of reverb to allow it to wash over the mix. Almost culinary. I also added in a voice sample of a friend as it seemed apt for the mood. I tried to put the video shots in an order so that they convey a Summer going into Autumn/Day into evening sort of thing.
Next in the pipeline is an animated video culminating in September which I will be posting about next week.

A remix of an older version - In this venture into Hip Hop I am Rapping about my life and shizz, in a satirical way. People who know me, my insecurities and trademark noises may laugh at this, either with me or at me. 

Plus I managed to plunder my tape collection from yesteryear and include some samples recorded from us in school including a past teacher.

Immaculate Undulation (Vintage Waves 2007)

A new tune attempting to capture the vibe of an old-school Sonic level, best listened to when playing one of the classic Sega games. It has a brooding mood with driving rhythmic sections, often darting from themes that should hopefully be glued together cohesively enough that the transitions aren't too stark. The image is a drawing based on a nightmarish vision I had. I subsequently processed it using graphics editing and chucked in a photo of my bedside lamp, hence 'Lamp Guardian Zone'

Revamped tune from awhile ago, still might do some more work on it. 
Original tune contained samples that were supposedly from NASA recordings of Jupiter from a Voyager recording, but they turned out to only bear a vague resemblance to the original signal and had been fiddled with to sound more interesting.

A track about me trying to leave the house with OCD, while long-suffering friends/family are waiting for me, somewhat impatiently. With thanks to them for contributing their own soundbites amidst my cryptic lyrics. Recorded myself doing the lyrics on acid to get the relaxed vocal style I was looking for. Not sure if I should have affected an accent but it goes with the satire I guess.

Switch Ritual (OCD Diaries)

A sort of mysterious track that fluctuates in mood. Enjoyed going down some weird avenues and use of glittering synth chords. Later on my friend Jacob AKA Joycube contributes some of his flavoursome spoken word stuff.
