Jaden Raxel

Jaden Raxel is an artist who love to play and produce Melodic Techno music. He grew up in Arnhem and is still living there. He started producing when he was 16 years old and never stopped making music ever since. His style is distinctive due to his dark and heavyhitting techno synths, progressive melodies and deep grooves.

  With his initial release, remixing the classic ‘We Come 1’ by Faithless, Jaden Raxel burst onto the scene. The track was quickly played by big names, likes Tale of Us, Moonwalk and Kevin de Vries. Afterwards, he released some originals and remixes on Infinite Depth, Somatic Records, Running Clouds & Bull In A China Shop. 

  His remix of 'Two Of Us' and the collaboration with Severin Su, called 'Words Of Zeus', were definitely the most successful tracks so far concerning artist support. Both tracks were played multiple times by Tale Of Us at several Afterlife events all over the globe.  Jaden Raxel's music appeared in live sets from Tale Of Us, Artbat, Kevin De Vries, Moonwalk, Stephan Jolk, Ae:ther, Øostil, SOEL, Fideles, Mark Tarmonea, Paradoks, Heik, Senses Of Mind, Mitch De Klein, Erly Tephsi, Wurtz & many more.

To Dundov, “techno is music that precedes movement. It is dance music, solid enough to carry emotions through the dance floor and abstract enough to be a template for ever”. And indeed his breathtaking productions embody this ethos, serving the inherent function of making your body pulse spontaneously while also challenging your brain with its complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions.

Although maybe the word “techno” doesn’t give enough detail about his style, it’s probably the nearest ballpark to whose principles his music adheres – and he is keen to expand the horizons of what people know and expect of the genre. But it’s that sense of his tracks being alive, forever evolving and expanding and increasing in intensity, which gives his music its unique sound and has seen his work crossover into a myriad of different areas of the global electronic music scene. 

His music shows you that he’s a producer with more than churning out mindless, functional and dispensable drivel on his mind. There’s a philosophy entrenched in his productions that breathes the very spirit of life and dynamism into them: “My ultimate goal as a producer and musician is to bridge the world of inspiration and physical world to the extent where the listener wouldn't be able to distinguish between the two. Music has this unique property to communicate deep emotions that are inherently in all of us. We just forgot how to use them, and my search is an attempt to revive those emotions where we all resonate as one.”

Born in Zagreb in the early ‘70s, his career in dance music stretches back the best part of 20 years. The intrigue for difference and identity, fundamentally lead to the inception of ASAS’ sound. Personifying synthesis to have his own DNA in it, Denis became obsessed with being associated specifically for a synth only recognizable as his own.

His uniqueness didn’t go unnoticed; his experimental synth work stemmed the start of a close brotherly bond with the Mia Mendi duo & skipping to present day, ASAS now is the A&R for Mia Mendi’s Suah imprint. Sharing the same mindset of dark, deep, melodic and eclectic productions, lead a complete rebrand of the label, with ASAS playing a big role.

Strongly believing music has to have emotion, there is a strong intrigue and mysticism surrounding the Belgrade-born producer at the moment, who’s one and only objectives is not to release on the biggest labels, but to take people on a journey through a sonorous symphonic, hand crafted by himself.
