One of the stand-out tracks being James Barnsley's 'Shake That Tambourine', other notable tracks by Ben Rau, Legit Trip, Frink, Djebali, John Dimas, Mihai Popoviciu and to end, a storming dancefloor bouncer by Gaby (FR) Feat. Moodymann.

I Finish with the Phil Weeks, Junior Sanchez track - Live at Palladium, when I go a bit silly with the loops and eq thinking I'm Derrick Carter mid-90s (under the influence) ;)

Recording from a mix I live streamed the other week, as it was elections here the bars were closed so decided to throw some slow deep beats on a USB and hit the record button, start around 105 BPM and finish at around 118 BPM. Hints of disco and funk, but all deep.

A gentle foray into the world of Deep House, featuring Addex, OOFT, Sek, Rishi K, 6th Borough Project, nothing too offensive!

Increasing the pace from my last mix and back on the Deep Tech Tip with this upload, recorded during the cold winter month of November last year...

One of the stand outs on the mix for me personally is Santierri - Visual Audio (Nima Gorji Remix) at around the 33 minute mark.

Lots of other good stuff of course, from the likes of Mihai Popoviciu, Beneath Usual, Nae:Tek, Legit Trip and Dimmish.

As for the title, well, apparently that's all us Dj's do nowadays :)

Pressing Play

For my latest mix I dived into the back catalogue of Dave Martins and Kenny Grounds Southpark Records and put together a bit of a label showcase. A great label based in Switzerland producing some damn fine Underground House Music.

As for the track selection its quite a mix of Deep House, Deep Tech, Minimal eventually leading the listener to a climactic Tech House finish courtesy of Howld Xell and his track 'Cubanitos'

As for the title of the mix well, we are still under some tight restrictions here in Thailand so nowhere to go, luckily I find great solace in music.

Cabin Fever

After the crash, bang, wallop of Tribal Rhythms it's time to get back to a more sedate pace with some non-offensive deep house music for your aural pleasures. Featuring tracks from Frederic Hecker, Alvaro Hylander, The Timewriter and many others that may not be so well known. Perfect beats to sit on the beach or by the pool to, if we were allowed to that is!

As for the title, well that should be self-explanatory given the current situation we find ourselves in here in Thailand, all the days seem to blend into each other, it's the music that keeps me sane!

As the title suggests, these were tracks that were leftover in playlist folders that I either didn't use on a particular mix or left off the mix when recording for one reason or another, but all solids tracks in their own right. As for the mix itself, it's my usual foray into the world of Deep House/Tech featuring Ray Mono, Dimmish, Legit Trip, Dj Steaw, Gunnter, and Archie Hamilton, and I finish the mix with a classic Disco Houser from the '90s.

Around this time last year, I released the first Rain Season which ended up being one of my favourite mixes of 2020. So as the skies grow darker once again here in Thailand it was time for another deluge of Deep House and Deep Tech tracks to brighten up the days.

Took some time with track selection on this one and included some lesser-known artists, really enjoyed my time on this mix, with highlights for me being Rem by Konov, 1971 by Calou and On The Line by Lemondepasta.

Rain Season 2

The obligatory Christmas Mix!
Ok, so it wasn't an easy decision, but I left Wham! out of this one.
It's a nice mix of Minimal, Deep and Tech House tracks, with some techy club chuggers for those who know, nothing groundbreaking, just solid house music.
Highlights for me are Del Fonda's Harsh Harmonics and Smoke, followed by Dubman F. North Pole and the track I end the mix with Rob Acid – Acid Frog, which is fucking mental.

Winter Warmers

I finally got my arse in gear and finished a new mix!

Lovely slow burner this one starts on a very deep vibe before I begin to turn up the pace and energy towards the end with some groove-laden Deep Tech, but I assure you nothing too frenetic. I popped in a nice little palate cleanser by Kevin Yost just before the hour mark.

As for the title, it’s the hot season here in Thailand, and it’s a scorcher!
Really enjoying the productions by ‘Neither’ recently and the stuff coming out of Mike Sharon’s label ‘Ultra Knites’; special thanks to Benny S for supplying me with a promo of his yet unreleased track with Luke Hazell ‘A Million Dreams’.

Here Comes The Sun

Recorded this back in February 2021, so it is about time I published it!

The first release in my Tokyo Nights series that feature deep house tracks from a fair few years ago; a majority of these cuts are from 2010 – 2012, with the latest track being from 2016, a solid deep house from back then with ‘most’ of them still sounding fresh. One of my personal favourite mixes; I have already recorded two more in the series, with a fourth in the works, so keep a lookout for them!

As the title suggests, some damn deep house is the order of the day for this upload!
16 of the 17 tracks are from Kirill Matveev's excellent MixCult Records label, with the 17th and final track being a superb finisher from Kassian called 8th Movement. Recorded back in February 2021 when I was really into this spacey sound.

I will try to increase the frequency of my uploads to start clearing my backlog, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

Recorded back in February 2021, I only knew that after checking the file info, as I remember very little of the live stream due to some bloody good wine and a bit of the other 😉. And even the tracklist had the wrong file name, but all good fun!

There is a nice deep tech/minimal flavour throughout; I pick up the pace towards the end. Notable mentions from the mix are ‘The Change’ a collaborative effort from Mihai Popoviciu, Jay Bliss and ToyGun, the Ray Mono remix of Wlad’s ‘Alaina’, ‘Lipstix’ by Lotrax, ‘For the Terrace’ by Joren Edwards, and not forgetting my mate Mike Sharon and his lovely cut track ‘The Bounce.’ I finish with Jizz’s stomper, ‘Onyx.’

Audrey's Dance

A heavier, darker, techier mix for your listening pleasure, definitely one for the heads.

Think of a sweaty basement club at 4 am in winter, and you will be pretty close to the sound of this mix. Heavy going in places with some serious headfuq tracks from GoldRed, Del Fonda, Fhaken and Dubman F, there is some light relief with the superb Una by Neverdogs and Sebastian Ledher, and I close out the tech-fest with the haunting Drift Within by the Tech House veteran Joeski.

Drugged Up

Here’s a new mix for your aural delight. It's basically 75% of the tracks I played at my recent live gig at Le Café des Stagiaires in Bangkok with the Swerve Digital crew, with a few more thrown in to ‘Extend’ the mix. 

I was on warm-up duties, so the pace was steady at the start. The mix begins with a classic from Moodymann and features some solid Chris Stussy tracks from yesteryear and a few from Mike Sharon of Ultra Knites fame.

Other notable mentions include Ross Kiser's – Sittin Right, Jizz – Sin Concepto, a beauty from Thomas Wood, and finish with a big slice of deep house by Kevin Yost/Peter Funk.

Twisted

Recorded back in 2022, this mix still holds a special place in my heart.  It kicks off with heavy hitters like Macromism, Fhkaen, and Lock Proyect before taking an 'Upshift' at the 65-minute mark with German Slend's "Yingyang",

To mark the arrival of Thailand's hottest months, I've recorded a new mix! It's another journey into 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹, featuring new and old tracks. 

The mix includes three tracks from 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘀. I only recently discovered his stuff, and I am enjoying his deep style, one to look out for, for sure.

Hot Season

Something a little different from me! Over the past few months, I've been listening to and purchasing a significant number of Sven Wegner's productions. His sound is truly unique and so refreshing in today's world of monotonous, generic releases. It was so refreshing, in fact, that I just had to dedicate an entire one-hour mix to his music.

His productions offer a distinct blend of playful, cordial grooves with perfectly dosed funky influences and signature cut-up vocals, which remind me of the intricate, sample-heavy work found on albums like The Avalanches' "Since I Left You."

I'm BACK!! Such a long time since my last mix but here it is!!!! A selection of some of the finest deepest house for the first part then gradually moving on to a more techier vibe for the finale. Depth Perception

Hailing from Wakefield, England, Earl's journey into dance music began at an early age. Thanks to his father's passion as a soul DJ, Earl grew up surrounded by the sounds of Motown and Soul, developing a deep-rooted love for the genre. These early influences continue to shape his musical style and selections today.

Earl's passion for DJing ignited in 1990 amidst the thriving UK rave scene. Captivated by Italian House music, he began honing his skills at 17 in his hometown. Exploring the vibrant club scene in Northern England, he discovered his true musical calling: Deep and Tech House at the legendary Back to Basics in Leeds.

"I vividly remember hearing those deep, emotive sounds on the top floor of Basics," Earl recalls. "It was a stark contrast to the music I was playing then, and from that moment on, I was completely hooked." 

The DJ behind those captivating sounds was Ralph Lawson (20:20 Vision Records), a Deep House maestro and longtime resident at the club. Earl spent his formative years at Back to Basics, soaking up the sounds and techniques of Lawson and other influential guest DJs like Jamie Anderson, Derrick Carter, Peace Division, and Kevin Yost. He fondly reflects on the 90s as the "golden era of House music," a time that profoundly shaped his musical identity.

He quickly secured residencies across Northern England, notably at the acclaimed Hedonism events at the Think Tank & Café Mex. Earl has always prioritised sharing his music over seeking fame, a refreshing contrast to today's DJ landscape, where social media presence often takes precedence.

As the Tech House sound emerged from the West Coast of America on labels like Tango, Siesta, and Doubledown, Earl's style evolved alongside it. His sets became increasingly drum-driven, often starting deep and building to a Tech House or Techno climax. This dynamic approach remains a hallmark of his style, evident in his recently released Rebirth Sessions.

In 2004, with the rise of CDJs, Earl relocated to Thailand, leaving his cherished vinyl collection behind in the UK. Initially resistant to the shift towards digital mixing, he took a hiatus from DJing. However, his love for music endured, and he began building a digital collection. A visit to the GLOW club in Bangkok, with its impressive Funktion One sound system, reawakened his passion for DJing.

Encouraged by friends in the industry, he embraced the digital era, acquiring a Pioneer controller and reigniting his DJ career. This seasoned veteran, with roots in the influential 90s rave scene of Leeds, UK, has an exciting future ahead, with upcoming collaborations with longtime friend Jamie Anderson (Artform Records) and Greek deep house producer Ilias Katelanos (i-records).

Earl's DJ sets are immersive experiences, seamlessly blending Deep, Minimal, and Tech House, often culminating in electrifying Techno as the night unfolds. He thrives in intimate settings, where he can connect with the crowd and channel their energy to create unforgettable nights on the dance floor.
