GABS003 sees Bristol's Works resident Portway join the label’s roster. With previous releases on TRAX HAVEN, Moon Rack, excess, Duckland and JUKE BOUNCE WERK, ranging from 100bpm chuggers to tearout jungle, Portway has established himself as a genre-defying chameleon. His forward-thinking sound design and innovative drum programming has gained recent support from LCY, A.Fruit, Skream and many others.

Portway takes a walk down the more percussive route in his contribution to our recently launched 2-track singles series, inspired by the likes of Sinjin Hawke, Scratcha DVA, Two Shell and Atrice. “Dropshipping” opens with a precautionary melody, descends into a flurry of metallic antiphony and is then quickly pierced by a formidable bassline complimented with intricately manipulated grime vocal samples. “Lithium Souls” combines shimmering pads with considered vocal chops and crackling drums. Beware of the second drop!

After a short hiatus at the beginning of 2024, Out Of Sorts couldn’t be more excited to return to the digital series with four  club-ready tracks of rugged, grinding grooves courtesy of Newcastle-based Lace Atone.

‘Zonal Decline’, a dark and layered track which combines razor sharp percussion, a rumbling bassline and a familiar vocal chop to create a dense, atmospheric club track. When asked about the opening track Lace Atone told us, “The droned out, percussive synth draws a subtle influence from the Robert Hood, Jeff Mills era of 90s techno, think those dark, ever-repeating chords.”

Love In The Endz make their way to another one of their spiritual homes...Bogotá in Colombia.

This summer, we finally met @brendainternational & @m4ri4m4nu3l4 whom had been inspiring us with their work for a long time. This bond that begun over the internet, solidified via an event at Carpet Shop in London and from this, Brenda & Maria Manuela erupt with their debut joint project "Basalto" EP.

This 4-track scorcher is a sonic exploration of their musical DNA, effervescing with the raw energy of Bogotá's burgeoning dance scene.

The EP embodies a fertile ground for artistic fusion, pure forward-thinking dembow mutations. Each track is presented as a volcanic shape emerging over the traditional Bogotá's techno, creating unique styles that bridge cultural divides, connecting the Colombian underground to the global dancefloor.
