Therapy Session 07 // Komron [Atlast]

Today’s mix is brought to us by one of the most active members of the Tehran music scene and a founder of Deep House Tehran, Nesa Azadikhah. A DJ/producer well versed in electronic music, Nesa’s musical range covers many grounds. Surrounded by the rich culture of her home base, Iran, her style finds a beautiful middle-ground between the east and west, spanning from techno to ambient, as well as beautifully composed film soundtracks. Nesa’s influence reaches beyond her home base with gigs in Oslo’s by:larm festival, Tblisi’s Mtkvarze, and Yerevan’s Basement to name a few. An inspiring short documentary about Nesa and her work was recently released by Wetransfer and aired on 4:3 Boilerroom. 2019 is looking bright for Nesa, and we are super excited to have her curate this session.

In this therapy session, Nesa creates a musical experience that closely resembles the flow of how the curious mind experiences thought. At first, she peaks your curiosity with a gentle and jazzy intro that flows into a warm and dubby daydream. As the dream starts to take shape, the atmosphere becomes a bit more serious with smoothly textured techno that lands in the grooviest of ways, setting you up for the strong and confident conclusion.
