This is my most recent show on Subtle Radio, HOT. 

This show celebrates my love for percussive lead music and some of my favourite queer artists. A wide-spanning sonic journey through tribal, hard-drum, garage, house, disco, techno, trance, breaks and all the spaces in between.

I want this show to make you feel HOT, to get your energy flowing ahead of this weekend and to be a reminder that pride is a protest as well as a celebration of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Let the drums roll.

Soulful house and hotter beats from Nile Ashton, a New Orleans ﻿multi-instrumentalist turned DJ and producer who's also the talent ﻿curator bringing underground house music to The Rabbit Hole. Whitney ﻿Weiss plays some favorite new tracks and unreleased originals in the f﻿irst hour.

Nile Ashton is a multi-instrumentalist turned DJ/producer originally from Durham, North Carolina. Now New Orleans based, he has developed a multi-genre approach to underground dance music that combines modern club sensibility with a classic understanding of rhythm and groove. “for the club, not the faint of heart...” Nile is also 1/2 of the DJ Duo "Secret Handshake" with Washington DC-based Artist/DJ Lady Lavender. This project explores genres such as electro, breakbeat, and techno with a mission to influence a new generation of underground dance music enthusiasts. As the Musical Curator of New Orleans music venue “The Rabbit Hole”, Nile aims to provide accessibility to underground dance music in the birthplace of Jazz."
