"This mix is inspired by linking up for the first time with some new friends who flew over from Dublin for a gig at Public Records a few weeks ago. We bonded quickly at The Lot and spent the rest of a long & sleepless weekend eating good food, dancing, and trading hot slices of UKG and breaks well into the morning hours at the afters. It's truly a blessing to be swept into a new group of folks and immediately feel at home and in community. Out to don-ri, johnny donkz, ema, jio, murph, jeremy, amelia 1, amelia 2, joe, ayesha, && the whole crew -- until we meet again, on your side of the ocean or mine!!!

Ariel Sports (@arielsports) is an artist and deejay from Detroit that explores concepts of trans embodiment, community engagement, and dancefloor activism through live mixing, sound collage, video installation and nightlife events. She co-ran a collective called Fem Farm with her sister PrismViews, which prioritized transwomen and queer DJs to experiment with sound and visuals. Her mix is a polyrhythmic journey of club constructions, and an ode to the global trans and queer community!

They are one of the founders and residents of AYI AYI, a fundraiser party series supporting local AAPI and QTPOC communities in the greater New York area. This mix is 4am deep in the hole, created sober in a painting studio at 6:30PM - but whatever it takes to get to ekstasis...when the phone rings, will you answer? Big J is a Taiwanese American DJ/producer, musician, and multidisciplinary artist. Born and raised in Baltimore, JiaLing was a classically trained cellist for 15 years before moving to New York in 2015. They currently have a monthly residencies on Balamii / Hyde FM in addition to their residents with collectives Ayi Ayi (Brooklyn) and WOE (Baltimore).

"I recorded this in a take the night before heading out to Taiwan but was thinking about it for a while, included some of my staple tracks and dubs friends sent through. the focus for this mix was groove, as usual it spans a variety of genres/bpms with an orientation of house, breaks and electro."
