So basically my mum's getting rid of this piano that's been in my house for like my whole life and is really out of tune and I thought I'd make something on it. This is the only time I will ever play this.

Music is one of the perfect forms of art

With music you don't have to conceptualise anything you kinda just have to let the feelings of your inner mental state melt into a sound, which works for me because feelings are kind of like felt sounds to me

This can obviously be achieved in other forms of art, but as music consists of a large amount of time (and I am by no means a painter) it works so as a kind of journey. If someone were to ask me what I was feeling, I could reply with "happy" or "sad" or even "melancholic" but none of this would come close on any level to beginning to describe how I felt when compared to what the creation of music does because it allows feelings to move on from each other and not be held to these rigid concepts. I guess this is why when people tell us their problems they don't strictly describe how they're feeling, instead they tell us what is happening to make them feel this way and punctuate it with emotion...
