Taken From the Forthcoming Lp "In The Depth Of My Soul" from one of the Biggest up and coming producers in the game Minor Rain. 
We caught up with the man himself to find out a little more about him and his music.

Q, 
 So! Minor Rain. Before we divulge into your forthcoming LP lets gather some information. How did you start out in music production? 

A, 
I started making music in 2009 with a friend. We decided to create a music project under the name of soundNbeats.We focused mainly on deep drum and bass,however later on I decided to start a solo project under the alias of Minor Rain.

Q,  Your production style and the sound you create definitely belongs to you. How would you describe how your sound has formed over the years?

A, 
My music style has naturally been evolving for years till the moment I was happy with it and kept on evolving my sound, not actually trying to follow suit like other producers.I wanted my sound to be unique not sounding like the well known producers I wanted to bring something new to the table.

Q,  Your forthcoming LP; „ In the depth of my soul“ sounds like a smooth story unfolding from start to finish. What was your ‘action plan’ when beginning the LP? 

A, 
The idea behind the Lp was trying to turn my feelings and emotions into music, not really looking to create any particular concept.The label manager at Rotation gave me ideas as to where to go with certain tracks for variety on the Lp.Im quite happy with the result – planning nothing and actually creating a „smooth story“ as you put it.

Q,  What would you like the listeners of the LP to take from the experience? 

A, 
As I said before, It is full of everyday emotions like sadness or joy, so I wish everyone will feel this within there own perspective. This LP is an emotional satelite into everyones soul.Im sure everyone can relate to the feelings at some point in there life.I like to think there is a little something for everyone on the Lp i hope people will enjoy the emotional listening experience as much as i did writing it.

Q,  Do you tend to adapt your production techniques towards the sound you want to create? 

A, 
Every track, I always start with an idea. I never just „play“ in studio and expect to create a track from that. Once I have a solid concept in my head I rush into studio and get it done. Simply said: the end justifies the means.

Q,  There are thousands of Drum & Bass producers out there at the moment. What do you bring to the table? 

A, 
There is nothing special about me, no Jedi tricks in the studio. Today, every producer is trying to be special since there is hundreds of them. Im just myself, not trying to be special. 
  
Q,  Your tracks are a silky and sensuous blend of emotion and brutality. How did you go about finding the right mind set to create the track that you idealised before hand? 

A, 
The music just seems to pop into my mind and there is no other way of erasing it from my head so,no matter what I'm doing or whatever is happening, I gotta get to the studio fast and compose it.

 Q,  How did you come to contact Rotation Deep? 

A, 
Ive always been feeling the material on Rotation Deep since day one, so after sending a few tracks over, Im really happy to be on board.This will be the first solo Lp of my career so i must take off hat to Rotation I'm very proud of this achievement in my Life.

 Q, What artists influenced this LP? 

A, 
There have been some people who influence everyone like Loxy, Rockwell, Octane and DLR, etc.. However, besides that there has not been anyone influential in particular. 
  
Q,  Your tracks seemed to be based around a variety of aspects. What do you think is the best aspect to keep in all of the tracks?

A, 
Every track I do, I would describe as unique, since it was inspired by something unique. So, there isnt any particular element about my music, but most of all I enjoy the silence after finishing a track Im happy with haha.

Anything else you would like to add?

A, 
I would like to thank everyone at Rotation for giving me this opportunity and thank you for interview.

 Forgotten Galaxy swathes the ear drums with sweet, circling pads and 'knock-your-jaw-to-the-floor' bass lines. The title track subtly intersperses the melody in and around the stereo field to encourage a trance like state of mind. This uplifting yet solemn fantasy world sweeps all the worries away, what a way to start Sapphire. 
 The Dance Of Cosmic Dust has Lovely arpeggios that resonate throughout the solar system. Brilliant percussion elements, beautifully reverberated, set this dance floor into a melee of ritualised genius. 
 Quiescent mode is the third track in the four part series. Minimal drums that reach deep down into the soul, plinks and bleeps that send the mind into a swirling peripheral whirlwind, all make this track a spotless addition to the Anti - Gravity crew. Playful synths spin around and tease your imagination into being.
 Single Ticket begins with that signature Sapphire sound, rising and falling until the percussion perks into life. Slowing it all down, Sapphire, shows how to do it simply but effectively. This track is certainly one to listen to with a clear mind. As the track moves towards the finale, pleasantly delayed synthetic guitars beat the soul to its knees. Building up the layers Sapphire folds up the heart and puts it in his pocket.
