Here we go with another PBT2 set, this time from the BleeD room and a absolutely crazy live set from another Swede (to follow on from Pär's set released yesterday) @the-subliminal-kid AKA Mr Peder Mannerfelt!

This 45 minute live excursion goes pretty much in all directions in it's short time, lots of modular manipulation, sound design and heavy use of FX make this all blend into 1 long track so come join and enter the Mannerfelt mind, it's a fun yet slightly unnerving at points place to check out!

Peder Mannerfelt drops two new versions of the smash hit "Big Ball" from his 2023 EP on Nervous Horizon. This time around, he's teamed up with the electronic music maestro Roman Flügel for an epic collaboration. Roman's remix is nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing his signature chameleon-like ability to transform and expand tracks into something entirely mesmerizing. Peder Mannerfelt splits the difference between playful immediacy and daring experimentation. You’re as likely to find him premiering a live show at Berlin’s Atonal festival as pulling apart fabled techno meccas from Berghain to Fabric with synapse-frying precision. One minute he’s being asked to remix Björk, and the next he’s dropping EPs of non-conformist techno for Karenn’s Voam label.

As a prolific collaborator throughout his career, Mannerfelt has veered from the orchestral tension of Roll The Dice (with Malcolm Pardon) to the anything-goes maximalism of Aasthma (with Pär Grindvik). As a producer, he’s worked on every one of Fever Ray’s acclaimed albums and live shows, as well as projects from alt music heavyweights such as Smerz, Blonde Redhead and Glasser. His Peder Mannerfelt Produktions label has become another outlet for his singular approach, presenting his work alongside similarly experimental operators like Sissel Wincent, Machine Woman, Klara Lewis and Hodge.

More recently, his PM+ series celebrates the immediacy of club-focused tracks, and Mannerfelt thrives on the energy and community of contemporary club music. What makes him different is his response to that energy, as he pushes the music’s possibilities in wild, unpredictable directions.

Slumber (the ballad of Edward Bernays)

Hailing from Pacifica, CA - Something Left Unsaid is a band obsessed. In a short space of time, they’ve put their home city firmly on the map, with an uncompromising attitude and sheer hunger to spread their sound. Whether you want to call it metalcore, hardcore, grindcore or whatevercore - SLU's music conveys hope in a world gone insane. Their music is their passion, and that passion is beautiful brutality. 

Formed in March 2010, SLU hit the ground running. The process from band-in-formation to band-on-the-road was brief by the usual standards. Drummer and founding members Pat Peterson and Rich Perez are joined by vocalist and final founding member Brendan McCarthy and bassist Dan Ericson. Whilst their full-on, driving riffs, blended with melodic vocals make it difficult to categorize this particular outfit, the band cites among its influences as Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Scar Symmetry and everything “relevant”. 

By October 2010, SLU had already laid down their debut demo EP "In Memories of Blood". After playing at every local venue that would have them, and every show they could book, the band was spotted by a DJ for KSJS, Santa Jose State University College radio- who labeled them as “The band to watch”. That same month, they completed their first tour, including performances at the world famous Whiskey in LA as part of Metal Sanaz Showcase, The Key Club with Lynch Mob, and later to Fresno where they played with local legends Forbidden.

At once ruthless and relentless in promotion, Something Left Unsaid has gained a reputation as the hardest working band in the Bay Area. 

With their “official” remastered release of their demo EP renamed “Deconstructionism” which included a bonus track, “Miles of Ash” in August of 2011. 

Now again armed with a new single for 2012, “Deconstructionism” which has proven to be “the best music yet” from the band. SLU have taken one step closer to world domination. Pay attention.
