I had been thinking of covering this Iconic Christmas track, but acoustically, for a while. But once i started to experiment with drums and bass the whole project took on a life of its own. Literally!

I started the sessions at the start of November and managed to get it finished ( just about! )  before Christmas. 

Christmas is a very sentimental time and that's the avenue my creativity took me down,. I think you can hear it in the track.

There were times when I thought it wasn't meant to be as I went through a roller coaster of emotions during the process. 

To top it off i got ill right in the middle of recording the vocals and never quite recovered to a level I was satisfied with as the xmas deadline loomed. It all suddenly became 10 times more stressful if I'm honest. But shit happens. 

I'd like to thank my family for being so patient with me during the sessions - it got pretty intense at times! 

Huge thanks to my wife Danni for helping with the sleeve artwork design. 

I really hope you like it!
