Tricky is heading out on a huge European tour this month, where he will be joined by a new vocalist, AJEYA, an indo-french performer from the island of Réunion. The two have already spent time in the studio and are offering some fresh new music, including a French language version of Tricky's single "Nicotine Love," for free download in advance of the tour.

Dieses Klangspiel für räumlich verteilte Instrumentalisten ist nicht in Partiturform, sondern als Kartenspiel notiert. Es besteht aus 48 Einzelkarten mit unterschiedlichen musikalischen Motiven. Jeder Musiker erhält einen eigenen Kartenstapel, der vor dem Spiel gemischt wird. Dadurch wird eine zufällige Abfolge des musikalischen Materials erzeugt; allerdings darf der Spieler selbst entscheiden, wann er seine aktuelle Karte ins Spiel bringt und hat gewisse interpretatorische Freiheiten hinsichtlich der zeitlichen und dynamischen Gestaltung.
Da es keine von außen gesteuerte Koordination der Musiker gibt, entsteht das Stück aus der momentanen Interaktion der Spieler, die zwar nicht verhersehbar ist, aber dennoch auf ein gemeinsames harmonisches und motivisches Ausgangsmaterial rekurriert. So bleibt die systemimmanente Logik dieses Klangspiels sinnlich nachvollziehbar (Karlheinz Essl).

Four clarinets are positioned in the corner points of a virtual square around the audience. The score is organized in a sort of chess board with 7x7 fields. Each field contains a musical phrase which duration is left to the discretion of the player. After finishing a phrase, the player makes a pause of an undefined length. Then he proceeds to the next motif and so on.

Each musician begins in one of the four corner fields of the grid. The entrance of the players is staggered. Player 1 starts with his phrase. When the maximum of the crescendo is reached, the second player enters, then the third and finally the forth. Each player takes an individual path through the grid following the directions of the respective arrows. Each path describes a spiral that finally ends in the center field...
