➢Tell us what song puts you in a good mood when you wake up in the morning?

Good morning dear all! I like it smooooth and lazy in the morning. It can be some TripHop sounds from my favourite musicians Boozoo Bajou or some dreamy downtempo tunes. I don't have a favourite musician in our genre, I like every one of you <3 <3

➢How did you come about your DJ alias Lockige Ostsee?

Oh, hehe :D Years ago I had some more hair on my head and it´s getting curly with the length over 5cm. And I was born, raised and still live at the Baltic sea. It´s hard to find a perfect name, either a DJ name or a track name, isn´t it? 😊 😊

➢ Where would be the best place to take us to enjoy a sunset in Rostock?

I think, one of the best places is the Rostock city harbour, where the mixtape-picture was made (by my lovely friend @ener-music ). But another nice spot is the beach in Rostock-Warnemünde, but there are too many people in my opinion :P 

➢ How has the music scene developed in Rostock over the last few years and could you recommend the listeners an event that you love or you might organize with your collective Faultierdisko?

The people in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern always say “Everything comes 100 year later in M-V” – like the music scene too :D Downtempo has just a little crowd in Rostock and the region. Even though there are many many beautiful musicians in MV. Think about Steffen Kirchhof, M.Rux, Klangstrom, Commander Love, Luett Matten, just to call some of them. A few of them do not live here anymore, but they all started here 😊

➢ Clubs and Festivals have started re-opening, where or what was the first event you attended?

My first gig after this corona time was at the beach in my new home area in Zingst. But my slothbrother Stelzenläufer and I will play at the beautiful 3000 Grad Festival next week. We can´t wait for it!!! 😊

➢ Lastly, regarding this mix you have done for us, can you tell us a little bit of your thought process behind choosing the tracks you chose? 

Ohyeah! Let us start smooth and lazy with the first few songs. Then we dive into a dreamy way – it´s the moment when the sun hits the water surface. After this, when it´s getting darker and darker, I will tune up with some faster slothdisco vibes before we heading into darker, deeper and “geile” music. After this, I will give you some better feelings to end this journey with a smile in your face 😊 😊

Burika is the artistic endeavor of Mason Dunn, born in the US but residing in Costa Rica for nearly half of his life. Surfer, waterman, DJ, music producer, and resident of Lost Forest, Burika spends his days in the ocean and in the studio, and spends many nights behind the decks, crafting stories via frequencies. 

With a range from downtempo to techno, his expression is not limited to a single genre or velocity, but rather adequate for whatever the moment may require. With releases on a variety of noteworthy labels, Burika is ecstatic to join Magician On Duty for his next release.

Every year on december 28 Ruigoord's Ballongezelschap takes back Paradiso to throw the wildest party of the year. Everyone dresses up, and the Ruigoord community concocts an absurd musical to kick off the night. This year it was in honor of the passing of one of the patriarchs of our community Hans Plomp, co-author of the dutch classic UIT JE BOL, a handbook for trippers. 

This year I had the pleasure to play the Main room and blow the top of the dancefloor with my idea of psychedelic rave music. Its an eclectic fusion of techno with elements of jazz, funk, bass, tribal, IDM and disco. Enjoy!

Embrace Your Shadows - The Techno Ceremony

The intention of this mix is to enter the shadow world of a ceremony to face and embrace your own shadows. To descend into the darkness. This mix takes you deeper and deeper with a constant driving sound. Shamanic and also psychedelic elements accompany you deep inside yourself until you reach the point where you feel like going mad. At the end, it goes through deep pain and grief until you have finally faced the darkness completely to breathe free and deeply again.

Intro Translation:

"Plant medicine brings us into a high vibrational and cleansing mode to harmonise everything within us. We recognise that only all the images we experience allow us to understand.  Language, on the other hand, is only a slow, linear and sequential means.  Images, analogies and metaphors in plants have deep visions that lead us back to our original state. They heal at the source and help us to let go of deep patterns. These metaphors appear again and again and thus the universe wants to explain to us what divinity is. It shows us how that which can be activated within us manifests itself in the outside world and how it blossoms out of us into all worlds." -Vyone-
