The ‘Saba Behoor’ saga continues: Remix package for Uper Acid Band title song taken from their latest EP ‘Saba Behoor’.

First up is the classically trained and scholared, longtime musician, producer, and DJ Omri Smadar, delivering a trippy, emotional, and powerful, middle eastern synth-driven remix to Uper Acid Band's ‘Saba Behoor’ feat. the exquisite vocals of Abo Sahar. Saba Behoor means Seven Seas, and Smadar's take is definitely sailing for a late-night hypnotic dance floor treat. The remix manifests that Omri is a storyteller in the deepest sense of the word!

In his own words: ‘When I started to work on the remix I decided I want to keep the dark and mysterious vibe of the vocals, but to compose it for a dance floor environment. I worked only the vocals and started to jam in the studio with my machines, and created the middle-eastern-percussive groove of the track.
 A few hours earlier, I went to the mail office to pick up my Micromoog Synth (a very funky phat mid-70’s analog synth) that just been shipped from the USA, so I rushed back to the studio and was all about jamming with it like a kid with his new toy. That’s where the gritty synth solo comes from. I felt like this is exactly the trippy Arabic-vibe I had in mind.’
So far, releases on labels such as Blue Shadow, AEON and Correspondant, we are thrilled to have his artistic output on the label.

Up next is Hard Fist co-founder and label head Cornelius Doctor. Known for his discoid and wavy sounds fusing the local and organic within the universal and futuristic, he builds the remix on a heavy, hypnotic, electro-tinged bass line heightened with Abo Sahar haunting vocals and repetitive oriental Oud giving it a trippy twist.

With release under his belt on Eskimo Records, Permanent Vacation, Correspondant, and Hard Fist, Cornelius Doctor shows his love for middle-eastern sounds and their transcendental powers - creating mystical landscapes of industrial beats and cosmic flare.

Red Axes make a triumphant return to Phantasy with a further trio of expertly-crafted leftfield club tracks. Having produced several of the label’s best-loved club moments such as ‘Sipoor’ and ‘Sound Test’, the Israeli duo easily surpass their charismatic reputation across ‘Some Lights’.

‘Some Lights’ stomps forward to reveal the footprints of a rave giant, yet, even Red Axes at their most anthemic unfold the unexpected. Bleary-eyed chords stretch wistfully into the far-distance, as a male voice compounds the mood; “Sunrise”. Suddenly, the Axes pull the rug and reveal the howling club wolf hidden behind the sheep’s dress code, plunging dancers into a heavy trip of vintage rave chords and EBM-drum play.

The more psychedelically inclined will meanwhile find plenty to embrace in the wide, kaleidoscopic canyons of ‘Skulls’, a deeper-still groove machine that conjures up images of untamed sonic plains, Morricone-esque chords unexpectedly synthesised with psychobilin. Finally, ‘Professor Grasstov’ finds the duo loosening up into more playful form still, dragging the good name of this notable academic on a loose, breaks'y trip full of baggy energy (and complete with audible liquid experiments).

Tel Aviv super group @megaphonim are bringing their off-kilter energy to Feines Tier in form of their new „Namal Ashdod“ EP with four original tracks and hell of a @simple-symmetry remix. Even though they’re all quite unique on their own, what unites the tracks is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music. Be it in the aptly titled „After of Disaster“ with its let-loose energy, the slow-rolling „Lo Titfos Oti“, which could have been picked from an Andrew Weatherall (RIP) dj-set, or the title track with its break-beats and its unforeseeable left-turns, there’s always this playful and off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. And let’s not forget about the remix! Endlessly rising duo Simple Symmetry do what they have become known for very well here: Deliver an insanely groovy and relentless weapon of a track, guaranteed to blow the roof of every club, festival floor or after, however disastrous it might be.
