Tropical Animals Records returns after Nick Anthony Simoncino's latest release, with a new Italian upcomer. Andrea Comparin aka Munstac signs the most experimental ep of the entire catalog of the label. His work entitled Glicine opens with "Intro" a track with an Organic breath that intertwines with an electronic texture made of elements that color the whole song, "Laghetto Italia 61" is a dry and broken loop, with a groove that keeps you glued over time.
The Ep continues with “Distante 900,000 km”, a true and proper ballad of the future, profound and hypnotic. "Intro Glicine" is an interesting starting point for "Glicine" the song that gives its name to the entire ep. Incredibly sweet and heavenly, it directly reaches your heart. The pads and harmonies chase each other like two lovers, in an intricate and impervious rhythmic labyrinth at the beat of nature.
To close this incredible ep we have 2 remixes, one by the young Milanese ACIDGIGI that evokes the ethereal sounds of wisteria with powerful rhythmic parts and violent acid baseline. The other by the well-known Fabrizio Mammarella, who takes us 900,000km away into a futuristic world, where he expertly mixes all the sounds creating a solid and perfect remix for the dancefloor and beyond.

"Mostly it's fun and engaging, but don't take my first impressions for granted just yet. "Feeling" by Cali Burton sets a tone from the very beginning, but manages to swipe it here and there, especially with singing parts and some transitions that occur only a few times.
It would be no surprise if this song was strongly influenced by worldwide known artists such as Foster The People, The Killers, or Blur. But maybe it has nothing to do with any of them. Although you cannot deny the analogy, the resemblance is there.
Once in a while artists unintentionally make something sound so familiar that instantly forces us to look around and search for the answers. When mostly the main focus should be the song at hand. There's nothing wrong with the reminders, sometimes they just make us fall in love with a track.
Every piece should strike a chord inside each and every one of us, that's how it works, feeling it, is the most important thing.
While listening to the combination of sounds that Burton presented to us, without any hesitation I made some connections to certain memories, ideas, and subjects. Saying that makes it sound sad, but here we go again, don't take this the wrong way. It's more uplifting rather than gloom, the thing is - it has its own strange "mechanism of balance". It's a bliss to listen to. Cheerful and charming, but at the same time - controlling. It doesn't try to make you grumpy in any way, but it pushes these small fragments of mystery haze and obscurity, not much, but just enough to suggest, that nothing is entirely as colourful or as bright as it may seem. Straight out of Medellín, Colombia with a three track EP, we welcome Osccurate to Club Mackan! Relatively new to the scene, Osccurate left his 140 bpm Techno to embark on a more melodic journey. With Dansé Gótica you'll find something that sounds familiar, yet fresh and new with the touch of his signature guitar sound. On this journey you'll get to explore uncharted territory, something that we still don't have a name for.

To accompany us on this journey, we have three remixers. Two familiar faces, Dog.ma and Mundo D as well as a new face in the shape of Bizzarro Universe. These three remixers will help steer the course to perhaps somewhat more charted territory. Or in this case, dare I say timelines?

Dog.ma brings a synthier version to Dansé Gótica, setting the course to what seems to be the 80s. With Allnight, Mundo D seems to have set the course more towards the future. Somehow still with one foot firmly in the 80s in a very retro futuristic fashion.
Bizzarro Universe course is a bit different though. Say hello to the late 90s early 00s. Cuarto Oscuro gets a very trancey makeover and we love it!
