MOTEL77 is the new duo revealed by the infamous French label La Dame Noir. Behind that name, Thoma Cher & Charp, 2 Djs who have been key players in Shanghai underground scene for the last decade. While Charp did tour all over asian clubs, Thoma Cher released vinyls on nu disco cool labels and his first EP was charted in the best of 2017 of juno records. They came together last year to create MOTEL77, a dark disco act "for those who like to keep their leather jacket on the dance floor" (Trax Magazine 2018). Dark, deep, physical but focus on groove. "A standout package of machine made disco with a space edge”.

Their first EP on La dame Noir Records has received widespread acclaim from Media (BBC 6 music, Dj mag UK, The Ransom note, Trax magazine…) and has been played around the world by artist like Curses, Local suicide, Chloe, Zimmer or Marvin & Guy. “Beast of a release” , “dance floor heat”, their second EP Confusion with remix by In Flagranti and Roe Deers confirmed the growing imprint of the duo in the European electronic music scene. Those last months, they went back on duty to produce an heavy remix for the latest Play Pal EP and an original track “Morning Call” for the 10 years anniversary of Ldn records (supported by DFA Juan Maclean!). In the last year, Motel77 has performed both in Europe and Asia bringing their dark groove, techno-ish disco, and saturated guitar in Paris, Marseille, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and Ho Chi Minh.

This is the sound of Amarcord, a young musician, DJ and Live Performer also active in the experimental circuit. His music shows a profound love for both the Krautrock and New Wave sounds of the 70’s, re-imagined from the eye of the modern waves of electronic and dance music. 
Amarcord’s productions have been appreciated and supported by some of the most influential taste-makers in the underground club scene, from legends like Andrew Weatherall and Laurent Garnier to to the new generation acts and he had the opportunity to play in some of the most important venues across Europe and beyond.
After some well received releases on influential labels as Ombra International (in which he features regularly), Correspondant, ROAM and AEON, Amarcord is currently working on his first Album while a new EP on Me Me Me Records will see the light of day before the end of the year. Animated by an unstoppable need for music making and passion this young artist is just at the beginning of his exploration into a personal and ever stimulating sonic world.

Born in the late nineties, the producer based on Mexico city gives rise to the music Project “Undefined Pattern”. He was inspired by the ongoing stress and paranoia of living in Mexico, seeing this way reflected in a mystical, strong and psychedelic music, typical of a free and non-stereotyped dancefloor.

The sound is based in strong rhythms and percussions, resounding and concise bases, as well as psychedelic and mesmerizing melodies worthy of a late-night dancefloor.

Galatheia, or Tèa Shaldeva, is a versatile artist and DJ from Skopje. Since early childhood, music has been the only constant passion that has guided her to be a vocalist in a few bands, a radio show host and DJ, and a producer of her own music. Her affair with electronic beats starts circa 2012, when she releases her first EP. In the following years, she keeps releasing EPs and an album, has collaborations with multiple local artists, and DJs regularly. As of 2020, she’s a part of the electronic music duo Dj Magija and is working on new solo material. Bewitching mantric escapades are her forte, so in her mix for We Tape she has given you the perfect background for your next esoteric ritual or the masked private home party you’ve been secretly planning.
