The increasingly vital Jorkes makes a big step up to the acclaimed Live at Robert Johnson label with her standout Sweet Dreams EP. As with all Jorkes EPs, the artwork features photography shot by Daniel Rajcsanyi.

Jorkes has been making big and bold moves recently. She is the co-founder of the unique Freeride Millenium label which is a hotbed for queer dance music. German-born but Austria based, she has an influential residency at Radio 80000 alongside ParisBöhm and is a resident at Stuttgart's Romantica where she plays a thrilling mix of disco, house, techno and everything in between. She is someone who always serves to highlight the importance of the dance floor as a place of sexual and cultural liberation and this new EP is another innovative statement that comes as she rides a wave of high profile radio, DJ and media support for recent outings on her own label.

Opener 'You Will be Mine' is a song about obsessing after an unattainable stranger on the dance floor who disappears into the night. It's a silky disco house sound with chords that sing and a floating bassline that lifts you off your feet. The melodic motifs bring charm and cosmic energy and the whole track has a lush, musical feel. The equally excellent 'Robot Lover' muses on human detachment in this technological era of internet porn, dating apps and screen obsessions and how a robotic lover might be a better fit than a real life partner. It is another elastic and disco-tinged rhythm, with elegant chords and dancing keys over a suspensory bassline. Intimate vocal whispers bring tenderness to this timeless track.

On the flip side, 'Sweet Dreams' layers up infectious claps and tinny percussion over an irresistible deep house groove. It's a widescreen, symphonic sound that brings very real but subtle joy and closer 'CDEvaLo' is the name of a crossdressing male-to-female and sex-worker friend of Jorkes. She sings the introduction lyrics in Greek and they translate as "It was a very beautiful day, while we were sitting at the park we thought of going out for a coffee and realized we have no money and are absolutely broke. So we discussed about who is gonna put the wig on to "go and make a visit“ [Greek slang for sex work] so we'll have money again." It is a comment on the number of young people who arrived in Athens over the years to do cross-dressing sex work after being kicked out by their Orthodox Christian homes. The track flips the script with a more playful disco sound, characterful vocoder vocals and glossy synths over a jacked house beat.

This is an expansive EP that shows off the different sides to Jorkes's unique sound.

Lee Stevens returns to Luv Shack Records for his first solo EP in over ten years, after exploring a more relaxed sound under his Rising Seed moniker.
The opening track “Right On” creates a sonic universe where Ennio Morricone and John Carpenter have joined forces to make synth heavy dance music.
„Maskaron“ sounds like a full homage to new wave and the obscure side of italo disco, topped with chanting reminiscent of 1970s western movies.
On "Trippin´ On Your Love" Lee Stevens taps into early proto-house and synth-dance, complete with arp bass and occasional breakbeats.
Track number four, "Ju Know," features Lee Stevens and long-time collaborator Simonlebon in a moody, upbeat jam with heavy low-end synths, bittersweet vocal samples, and 80s pop-style piano chords.
Finally, the closing track "Destruction" features tight 808 drums accompanying a dark bassline and eerie vocals, with uplifting synth chords reminding us there is still hope.

Directly from the heart of Spain, Madrid based producers, Stylic & Dark Places presents: Wack! With this new track, an explosive combination of Trance and Future Disco, that will keep you captivated with its forceful beats and the characteristic touch of this duo.
Wack! It's charged with energy and a good high to lift you up into that cosmic dimension.

Wonder Talking debuting on the label and delivering a mysterious addition, with ‘Trip tic’ starting with light detuned Arabic melody, accompaniment of the track goes to heavy dancefloor theme. Shaped analog synth arpeggio, which breaks down from flying in the kick’s rhythm to the vague roar synth sound. All components mixed and leading with short pulsing bass with heavy kick and evenly floating percussion accompaniment, which force listeners moving in this dark track’s rhythm.

Last but not least, we have the French born, Miami based Rimaye, he just crashed with ‘Foxglove’ Inspired by Spring season in altitude, the song, joyful at first hand, hides a toxic hidden substance, giving this a unique ending to Oddness Vol. IV, definitely always is a different journey with each Volume. The EP is titled “Senses High” and is full of sweaty dark suspense, floaty melodies, gritty texture, and grooving baselines that will keep you locked and latched in a trance. With touches of dreamy lyrics and dazed strings, this EP will bring you to a new found sense of desire, sensuality and mutual attraction on the dance floor. 
The EP consists of two tracks by Pyrame, called “Senses High” and “Stranger Than Me”. Both tunes feature bright and sparkly percussions, evocative vocals and guitar, and dark, thick, plucky baselines. “Senses High” includes a hypnotic flute melody and vocals saying “Only you can make my senses so high”. This track is floaty, deep, and erotic. “Stranger Than Me” aligns itself with the deeper side of the dance floor and has dark and curious spoken word vocal behind the track. Flurries of African-sounding sounding drums erupt in this track to carry it into its continually mesmerizing groove. 
The EP also features best-in-class remixes by Andrew Claristidge, La Mverte, Theus Mago and Semodi that carry the original pieces into their own unique places. 
Andrew Claristidge’s from Grenoble and also one part of Acid Washed, joins with a lovely remix of “Senses High” lightens up the tune with a thick warm bass line, and utilizes dark and gritty vocal effects to take the already hypnotic vocal to another level throughout the tune. 
Alexandre Berly, the mystical talent from France known as La Mverte delivers a remix of “Senses High” that slows things down and uses a crunchy live sounding break beat to take the tune to another dimension. This is definitely a dark tune that will keep you craving more. 
Theus Mago from Mexico, is a staple of the dark disco scene and a master of the atmospheric realm. Here he delivers a special remix of ‘Stranger Than Me”. The pumping and grooving techno bass line is accompanied by glitched out floaty textures and fast grinding drums and it is an absolute stunner of a tune. 
Semodi, an extremely talented live musician, DJ and producer residing in Berlin remixes “Stanger Than Me” and takes the already mesmerizing track to another level of hypnosis. The forceful baseline, glinting percussion and melodic expansions are nothing short of magnificent. 
The EP Is due to drop on Friday 22nd of September, and is available both digitally and the two originals on a limited transparent 10" vinyl edition.
